STAMFORD, Conn. – April 12, 2020 – NBC Sports’ encore presentations of classic Sunday Night Football games continues each Sunday at 8 p.m. ET for the remainder of April, beginning tonight with the New York Jets hosting the Dallas Cowboys on Kickoff Weekend in 2011.
On the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the Jets completed a 14-point, fourth-quarter comeback to top the Cowboys on a 50-yard field goal with less than one minute remaining in the game.
NBCSN will continue to air one SNF game at 8 p.m. ET on each of the remaining two Sunday nights in April.
Mike Tirico introduces each matchup on NBCSN, and game presentations will include a specialized ticker featuring live tweets. During the telecast, fans will be provided with on-screen information on how they can help with Coronavirus relief. Fans can tweet #SNFEncore for the chance to see their tweets live on air.

COWBOYS-JETS ON 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11
|Dallas vs. New York Jets (Week 1, 2011)
Following their second consecutive AFC Championship Game appearance in 2010, the Jets hosted the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in Week 1 of the 2011 season. After falling behind 24-10 early in the fourth quarter, the Jets mounted a late comeback which included a Mark Sanchez touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress, and a game-tying, 18-yard interception-return touchdown by cornerback Isaiah Trufant with five minutes remaining. Jets kicker Nick Folk would then hit a 50-yard field goal with 27 seconds left in the game to complete New York’s come-from-behind win.
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo passed for 342 yards and two touchdowns in the game, while Sanchez threw for 335 yards and two touchdowns.
Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth called the game from MetLife Stadium.

In their first meeting since New England’s dramatic victory over Seattle in Super Bowl XLIX, the Seahawks stop the Patriots on four consecutive plays from inside the two yard-line to earn a 31-24 victory in Foxborough.

SUNDAY, APRIL 26 – PACKERS-PATRIOTS 2010 THRILLER
Packers quarterback Matt Flynn makes his first career start in Week 15 of the 2010 season as Green Bay visits the Patriots at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots thwart the Packers’ last-minute drive, punctuated by a Vince Wilfork strip-sack on fourth-and-one from the New England 15 yard-line on the last play of the game, to hold on for a dramatic 31-27 win. Flynn passed for 251 yards and three touchdowns.
