STAMFORD, Conn. – March 30, 2020 –NBC Sports will present Hockey Happy Hour Monday-Thursday this week from 5-7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Programming will include highlights from last week’s Hockey Week in America, as well as an EA Sports NHL 20 Washington Capitals-St. Louis Blues simulated matchup, and an hour-long presentation of the Capitals-Blues 2019-2020 opening night matchup on NBCSN.
Following is Monday-Thursday’s highlighted content:

MONDAY, MARCH 30
KINGS-BLACKHAWKS (2014 WESTERN CONFERENCE FINAL, GAME 7) AT 5 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
In a back-and-forth affair, the Kings tied the Game 7 at four goals apiece in the third period to send the matchup into overtime. With a trip to the Stanley Cup Final on the line, Alec Martinez played hero for the Kings with the game-winner early in overtime, a role he would reprise in Game 5 of the Cup Final against the Rangers to clinch the title for the Kings.
Play-by-play commentator Kenny Albert, analyst Joe Micheletti, and ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Brian Engblom called the matchup from United Center in Chicago, Ill.
TUESDAY, MARCH 31
MAPLE LEAFS-BRUINS (2013 EASTERN CONFERENCE QUARTERFINALS, GAME 7) AT 5 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Maple Leafs held a commanding 4-1 lead in Game 7 in Boston midway through the third period, before the Bruins stormed back to force OT, punctuated by a pair of goals with their goalie pulled. Patrice Bergeron scored the overtime winner for a 5-4 victory, which marked the first time in NHL history a team overcame a three-goal deficit in the final period of Game 7 to go on to win the game and the series.
The late, great Dave Strader (play-by-play) and Engblom had the call at TD Garden in Boston, Mass.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1
CAPITALS-BLUES (SIMULATED GAME) AT 5 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
NBCSN will present the EA Sports NHL 20 simulated Capitals game that originally aired on NBC Sports Washington on March 24, 2020. Washington, led by Nicklas Backstrom’s hat trick, beat the defending Stanley Cup champion Blues, 5-3, in an action-packed virtual matchup.
CAPITALS-BLUES (2019-2020 REGULAR SEASON OPENER) AT 6 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
In a season opening matchup that featured the past two Stanley Cup champions, the Capitals erased an early 2-0 deficit to defeat the Blues in overtime 3-2. Alex Ovechkin scored his 11th goal in his 15th NHL season opener, and Jakub Vrana netted the overtime winner. The raising of the Blues’ first-ever Stanley Cup championship banner will be featured.
Seven-time Emmy Award-winner Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Eddie Olczyk and ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Brian Boucher called the matchup from Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Mo.
THURSDAY, APRIL 2
PENGUINS-RED WINGS (2009 STANLEY CUP FINAL, GAME 7) AT 5 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
In a rematch of the 2008 Stanley Cup Final when Detroit won the Cup, the Penguins and Red Wings dueled to a Game 7 in 2009. Pittsburgh jumped out to a 2-0 advantage in Game 7 behind two goals from Maxime Talbot and never looked back, holding on for a 2-1 win capped by Marc-Andre Fleury’s last-second dramatic save.
Emrick, Olczyk and ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire called the Stanley Cup action from Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Mich.
