2019 STADIUM SERIES: PENGUINS-FLYERS AT 3 P.M. ET

The battle of Pennsylvania between the two archrivals was won in thrilling fashion by the Flyers 4-3 in overtime. Philadelphia trailed 3-1 with just over 3 minutes in regulation before forcing overtime, which featured Claude Giroux scoring the winning goal.

Seven-time Emmy Award-winner Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Eddie Olczyk and ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire called the matchup from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa.

WIRED: STADIUM SERIES – PENGUINS-FLYERS AT 5 P.M. ET

NBC Sports will take fans inside the sounds and passion of hockey with a one-hour special “Wired: Stadium Series – Penguins vs. Flyers.”  The program will utilize audio from a total of 12 players, coaches and referees from the Flyers’ thrilling 4-3 overtime victory over the Penguins in the 2019 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa. on NBC.

2008 WINTER CLASSIC: PENGUINS-SABRES AT 6 P.M. ET

The inaugural Winter Classic at snowy Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y, in 2008, marked the NHL’s first outdoor regular season game played in the U.S. The memorable matchup was punctuated by Sidney Crosby’s game-winning shootout goal for a 2-1 Penguins victory.

Emrick, Olczyk, and Darren Pang called the matchup from Ralph Wilson Stadium.

2020 WINTER CLASSIC: PREDATORS-STARS AT 8 P.M. ET

The 2020 Winter Classic marked the first NHL outdoor game for both teams and the southernmost host location for the annual event. After the Predators jumped out to an early two-goal lead, the Stars scored four unanswered goals for a 4-2 win.

Emrick, Olczyk, McGuire and Brian Boucher had the call from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas.

2014 WINTER CLASSIC: MAPLE LEAFS-RED WINGS AT 10 P.M. ET

The 2014 Winter Classic was played in front of 105,000-plus fans, the most for an NHL game in history, at snowy Michigan Stadium and is tied for the highest-rated NHL regular-season game in the past 40 years (2.5 HH rating; 4.404 million viewers). The Maple Leafs were victorious, 3-2, behind the deciding shootout goal from Tyler Bozak.

Emrick, Olczyk and McGuire called the outdoors action from Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich.

ROAD TO 2020 WINTER CLASSIC AT 2 A.M. ET

The critically-acclaimed Road To The NHL Winter Classic, a behind-the-scenes series, takes viewers inside the dressing rooms and homes of the Stars and Predators as they prepared to face off outdoors at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium on New Year’s Day in the 2020 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic.
