Miracle on Ice – 40th Anniversary Special: Featuring Al Michaels, who called the momentous matchup in 1980, and Mike Tirico, originally aired on NBCSN. Forty years to the month, this 30-minute special will feature Tirico’s wide-ranging conversation with Michaels about the buildup to the game, his iconic call, as well as the legacy of the moment that became bigger than sports, and still resonates today.
Wired (2019): NBC Sports will take fans inside the sounds and passion of hockey with a one-hour special “Wired: Stadium Series – Penguins vs. Flyers.” The program will utilize audio from a total of 12 players, coaches and referees from the Philadelphia Flyers’ thrilling 4-3 overtime victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2019 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa. on Feb. 23 on NBC.
Wired (2020): NBC Sports will take fans inside the sounds and passion of hockey with a one-hour special – “Wired: Stadium Series – Kings vs. Avalanche.” The program will utilize audio from a total of 12 players, coaches and referees from the Los Angeles Kings’ 3-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche in the 2020 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series (Feb. 15, 2020) matchup at U.S. Air Force Academy’s Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Feb. 15 on NBC.
