Nearly 700 athletes are expected to compete on Saturday, with the top three women and top three men named to the U.S. Olympic team. Two-time Olympic medalist Galen Rupp, who won the marathon bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and 10-time USATF champion, Leonard Korir, who participated in the 10,000m at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, headline the men’s field. Two-time Olympians Des Linden, who won the 2018 Boston Marathon, and Molly Huddle highlight the women’s field, along with Jordan Hasay, who finished third at the 2019 Boston Marathon and leads the Olympic Trials women’s field with the fastest qualifying time (2:20:57). In addition, five-time Olympic Trials participant Sara Hall and Emily Sisson, who posted a sixth-place finish with a 2:23:08 in her distance debut at the 2019 London Marathon, are expected to contend.
