STAMFORD, Conn. – Feb. 10, 2020 – NBC Sports presents 10 NHL games this week on NBC and NBCSN, highlighted by the 2020 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series on Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, when Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche face Anze Kopitar and the Los Angeles Kings at U.S. Air Force Academy’s Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Kenny Albert, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Eddie Olczyk, and ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Brian Boucher will call the matchup. On-site studio coverage at Air Force Academy will feature Kathryn Tappen hosting alongside analyst Patrick Sharp and reporter Rutledge Wood.

NBC Sports celebrates the impact of hockey across the country on Sunday with its annual Discover® Hockey Day in America NHL tripleheader on NBC and NBCSN. HDIA begins at 12:30 p.m. ET with Red Wings-Penguins on NBC, followed by Bruins-Rangers on NBC at 3:30 p.m. ET, and concludes with Blues-Predators on NBCSN at 6 p.m. ET. Studio coverage throughout the day will be anchored from outside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., hosted by Liam McHugh alongside analysts Keith Jones, Anson Carter, and Boucher.

This week kicks off with Alex Ovechkin’s pursuit for 700 career goals on NBCSN – “Gr8ness: Ovi’s Chase for 700” as NBC Sports has flexed into tonight’s Islanders-Capitals game at 7 p.m. ET. The originally-scheduled matchup between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus Blue Jackets will be shown on NBCSN in the Tampa Bay and Columbus markets. Viewers in the Washington D.C. market can find Caps-Islanders on NBC Sports Washington.

Wednesday Night Hockey features a doubleheader starting at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN when David Pastrnak and the Boston Bruins host Max Domi and the Montreal Canadiens. Action on NBCSN shifts west at 10 p.m. ET, when Johnny Gaudreau and the Calgary Flames take on Kopitar and the Kings in Los Angeles.

2020 NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION NHL STADIUM SERIES – KINGS-AVALANCHE – SATURDAY AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBC

The 2020 NHL Stadium Series marks the 11th matchup in the event’s history and only the second instance that the game has been hosted by a U.S. service academy (U.S. Naval Academy, March 2018). Colorado (32-16-6, 70 pts) currently sits second in the Western Conference standings, led by Nathan MacKinnon’s (32g/44a) 76 points, which is the fourth highest total in the league. The Avalanche have recorded seven wins in their past eight contests. The Kings (19-33-5, 43 pts) fell 4-1 to the Rangers yesterday. Anze Kopitar paces the team in goals (17) and assists (30).

HOCKEY DAY IN AMERICA – RED WINGS-PENGUINS – SUNDAY AT 12:30 P.M. ET ON NBC

Buoyed by the return of Sidney Crosby (10g/20a) from injury, the Penguins (34-15-5, 73 pts) have won nine of their past twelve games. Yesterday afternoon on NBC’s NHL Game of the Week, the Red Wings (14-39-4, 32 points) defeated the league-leading Bruins 3-1. Goaltender Jonathan Bernier recorded 39 saves in the victory. Play-by-play commentator John Forslund will call the matchup with analyst Joe Micheletti from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa.

HOCKEY DAY IN AMERICA – BRUINS-RANGERS – SUNDAY AT 3:30 P.M. ET ON NBC

Following a 4-1 victory over the Kings yesterday, the Rangers (27-23-4, 58 pts) have won four of their last six contests. Artemi Panarin ranks fifth in the league in total points (73). The league-leading Bruins (34-11-12, 80 pts) are paced by the high-octane scoring duo of Pastrnak (38g/40a) and Brad Marchand (23g/46a). Play-by-play commentator Mike Tirico will call the matchup at Madison Square Garden alongside Emmy Award-winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire and analyst Mike Milbury.

HOCKEY DAY IN AMERICA – BLUES-PREDATORS – SUNDAY AT 6 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The Predators (26-21-7, 59 pts) are led by Roman Josi (14g/40a), who ranks second in points among all defensemen. Currently atop the Western Conference standings, the Blues (32-15-9, 73 pts) have allowed the third fewest goals per game in the West. Chris Cuthbert will call the action from Bridgestone Arena alongside analyst Darren Pang.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT HOCKEY – CANADIENS-BRUINS AT 7:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

Currently on a three-game winning streak, the Canadiens (27-23-7, 61 pts) have won nine of their past 12 matchups. Recent acquisition Ilya Kovalchuk has led Montreal’s surge, netting the OT game-winner vs. Toronto on Saturday for his 12th point in 15 games.

Play-by-play commentator Forslund will call the matchup alongside McGuire and Milbury. McHugh hosts the night’s studio coverage alongside analysts Jones and Sharp, and NHL insider Bob McKenzie.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT HOCKEY – FLAMES-KINGS AT 10 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

On Saturday night, the Flames (28-22-6, 62 pts) snapped the Canucks’ nine-game home win streak in a 6-2 win. Calgary erased a 2-0 deficit en route to a 4-3 win in its most recent matchup with L.A. on December 7. Alex Faust will call the action from STAPLES Center alongside analyst Brian Hayward.

TONIGHT – CAPITALS-ISLANDERS AT 7 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

With Alex Ovechkin just two goals shy of reaching 700 goals for his NHL career, NBCSN will showcase “Gr8ness: Ovi’s Chase for 700”. The Capitals (36-14-5, 77 pts) currently have the second highest point total in the league. The Islanders (31-16-6, 68 pts) have earned points in five of their past six contests. Mathew Barzal (18g/26a) leads the team in points. Joe Beninati will handle play-by-play duties alongside analysts Craig Laughlin and Alan May at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. Tappen will host studio coverage with Carter and Ben Lovejoy.

TONIGHT – LIGHTNING-BLUE JACKETS AT 7:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

Columbus (30-17-9, 69 pts) and Tampa Bay (35-15-5, 75 pts) meet for the first time since the Blue Jackets’ stunning sweep of the Lightning in last year’s Playoffs. Both teams are surging since December – Tampa Bay has won 18 of its last 21 games, while Columbus has gone 18-3-3 in its last 24 games. Gord Miller (play-by-play) and AJ Mleczko (analyst) will have the call from Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

TOMORROW – FLYERS-ISLANDERS AT 7 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The Flyers (30-18-7, 67 pts) have registered points in eight of their last 10 games (7-2-1) and host Florida tonight. The Isles beat the Flyers in each of their first two meetings this season. Play-by-play commentator Brendan Burke and analyst Boucher will call the action at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Tappen will anchor studio coverage alongside analysts Sharp and Lovejoy.

THURSDAY – FLYERS-PANTHERS AT 7 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The Panthers (29-19-6, 64 pts) have six players who have scored 15 or more goals this season, which is tied for most in the NHL with Vancouver. Jonathan Huberdeau (19g/49a) ranks fourth in the league in assists this season with 49. Forslund will call the action from BB&T Center, alongside Emmy Award-winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst McGuire. Paul Burmeister hosts studio coverage alongside analysts Sharp and Mike Johnson.
