STAMFORD, Conn. – Jan. 23, 2020 – NBC Sports’ live coverage of the alpine skiing World Cup circuit continues this week with Mikaela Shiffrin headlining the women’s field in Bulgaria, while the men’s field will race at the 80th Hahnenkamm World Cup weekend in Kitzbuehel, Austria. This weekend’s races begin tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 24, at 3:30 a.m. ET with live coverage of the women’s downhill on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and NBC Sports Gold.

The Kitzbuehel downhill is considered one of the most famous and thrilling races of the year. Three-time Olympian Steven Nyman and PyeongChang Olympians Ryan Cochran-Siegle and Bryce Bennett are expected to lead the American men, along with two-time Olympian Jared Goldberg, who was second in Wednesday’s training run. The famed Streif downhill will take place Saturday, and the weekend begins with the men’s super-G tomorrow. NBC Sports Gold presents live coverage throughout the weekend and, on Monday, Jan. 27, NBCSN will have coverage of the downhill and super-G races at 1 p.m. ET, followed by slalom at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Shiffrin is expected to headline the field competing in this weekend’s women downhill and super-G events in Bansko, Bulgaria. Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and NBC Sports Gold will present live coverage of the women’s downhill races on Friday and Saturday at 3:30 a.m. ET, with Sunday’s super-G television coverage also beginning at 3:30 am ET. NBCSN will have coverage of the women’s downhill on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 9 a.m. ET, and coverage of the women’s super-G on Sunday, Jan. 26, at 12:30 p.m. ET.

The New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, which kicks off the 2020 World Athletics Indoor Tour, takes place on Saturday, Jan. 25, as Rio Olympian and 2019 world silver medalist Sydney McLaughlin is expected to headline the field competing in Boston. NBCSN and NBC Sports Gold will present live coverage at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday.

The 2020 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, part of the 2020 Team USA Champions Series, presented by Xfinity, begins tonight. The event is headlined by two-time reigning world champion Nathan Chen. Live coverage from Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina, begins with the pairs’ short program at 5 p.m. ET and the ladies’ short program at 9 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, an annual series of international rugby sevens tournaments featuring national teams from 17 countries in men’s and women’s competition, continues with a stop in New Zealand this week. Both the American men’s and women’s teams will compete in New Zealand; the U.S. women are currently third in the season standings after three tournaments (the Americans won the opening tournament of the series).

Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will have live coverage throughout the tournament, with pool play beginning tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 24, at 3:30 p.m. ET and the semifinal matches (9:30 p.m. ET) and medal matches (1:30 a.m. ET) on Saturday, Jan. 25.

The Track Cycling World Cup continues this weekend with a three-day event in Milton, Ontario. Results from this season’s World Cup events will factor into the Olympic Track Ranking, which determines a majority of Olympic quota spaces for Tokyo next summer. Chloe Dygert, who won a silver medal in team pursuit in the 2016 Olympics and the world time trial championships in road cycling this fall, is expected to compete in Milton as she looks to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics in both track and road cycling.
