U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee announces schedule for 2020 Team USA Champions Series, presented by Xfinity

The 2020 series will feature four Olympic sports throughout the year on NBC and NBC Sports Network

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee announced today the schedule for the 2020 Team USA Champions Series, presented by Xfinity, which includes four events in both summer and winter sports throughout the year. All of the events will be broadcast on NBC or NBC Sports Network (NBCSN).

The four Olympic sports included as part of the series – beach volleyball, figure skating, ice hockey and short track speedskating – will highlight the journey of Team USA athletes leading up to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.

The 2020 series broadcast schedule is as follows:

Here’s what Team USA fans can look for throughout the 2020 Team USA Champions Series, presented by Xfinity:

  • The Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships will crown the 2020 U.S. champions in ladies, men’s, pairs and ice dance, and is the final qualifying event prior to selecting the U.S. World Championships Team.
  • The USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships will showcase exciting matches between some of the country’s best collegiate beach volleyball pairs, with the winners qualifying for the World University Championships June 23-27 in Málaga, Spain.
  • The ISU Short Track Speedskating World Cup will welcome athletes to compete for international acclaim for the first time at the historic Herb Brooks Ice Arena, site of the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” in Lake Placid, N.Y.
  • The U.S. Women’s National Ice Hockey Team will take on its rivals up north with a game against Canada.

The 2020 Team USA Champions Series, presented by Xfinity, begins television coverage on Jan. 23 with figure skating on NBCSN and continues throughout the year. In addition to Xfinity, the presenting sponsor, the Team USA Champions Series is also supported by associate sponsor Bridgestone.
