STAMFORD, Conn. – Oct. 30, 2019 – Two-time reigning men’s figure skating world champion Nathan Chen headlines NBC Sports’ coverage of Grand Prix France this week, beginning with the men’s short program on Friday, Nov. 1, at 9:30 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Gold’s “Figure Skating Pass.” NBC Sports will present coverage of the event on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. ET on NBC.

Grand Prix France is the third event of the 2019 Grand Prix of Figure Skating series, which comprises six events where skaters earn points toward qualifying for the Grand Prix Final in December.

Chen headlines the men’s field, as he looks to qualify for his fourth straight Grand Prix Final after a resounding win at Skate America earlier this month. Chen faces 2018 Olympic silver medalist Shoma Uno from Japan. 2018 Olympic champion Alina Zagitova highlights the ladies’ event, and will compete against top American and two-time U.S. bronze medalist Mariah Bell.

Live coverage begins this Friday, Nov. 1, at 9:30 a.m. ET and continues Saturday, Nov. 2 at 8:15 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Gold. Television coverage airs Sunday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. ET on NBC. Encore coverage begins Monday, Nov. 4 through Thursday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. ET. 2006 Olympic ice dance silver medalist Tanith White calls the action, joined by 2014 Olympic team event bronze medalist Ashley Wagner and Ben Agosto for ice dance.
