STAMFORD, Conn.Oct. 16, 2019Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys host Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend on NBC’s Sunday Night Football in a matchup between division rivals fighting for first place in the NFC East. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET on NBC, followed by kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

This weekend’s game marks the 11th consecutive season that the two franchises have faced each other on NBC’s Sunday Night Football – the longest streak for any matchup on the broadcast primetime package in NFL history (ABC – 1970-2005; NBC – 2006-Present). Overall, the Cowboys and Eagles will meet for the 13th time on NBC’s SNF, breaking a tie with Giants-Cowboys (12 times) for the most-played matchup in NBC SNF history (since 2006).

Calling Cowboys-Eagles is Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his record 34th season as the voice of the NFL’s premier primetime package; 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth; and three-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya. Three-time Super Bowl referee and SNF rules analyst Terry McAulay joins Michaels and Collinsworth in the booth.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott ranks third in the NFL with 1,883 passing yards this season and is fourth in the NFC with a 102.9 passer rating. RB Ezekiel Elliott, who leads the NFL in rushing yards (4,539) and yards from scrimmage (5,877) since entering the league in 2016, is averaging 167.0 scrimmage yards per game in four career meetings with the Eagles. Dallas’ defense ranks in the top-10 in points allowed per game (19.0, eighth) and yards allowed per game (331.8, ninth).

The Eagles are led by QB Carson Wentz, who ties for fourth in the NFL with 12 touchdown passes this season. In five career games against the division rival Cowboys, Wentz has 10 touchdown passes against only one interception. Philadelphia RB Miles Sanders, who was selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, ranks second among all rookies with 418 scrimmage yards through Week 6.

The Cowboys and Eagles have met 120 times (including the postseason) in their storied rivalry, with the Cowboys leading the all-time series, 68-52. Dallas won both meetings in 2018, including a 27-20 road victory over Philadelphia on Sunday Night Football in Week 10.

Mike Tirico will host Football Night in America at 7 p.m. ET alongside Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy, two-time Super Bowl champion Rodney Harrison, NFL Insider Mike Florio and former NFL quarterback Chris Simms. Liam McHugh will co-host Football Night in America on-site from AT&T Stadium.

NBC’s coverage of Sunday Night Football is led by executive producer Fred Gaudelli and director Drew Esocoff. FNIA begins every Sunday at 7 p.m. ET, and is produced by Rob Hyland and directed by Mike Sheehan.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING: Flexible scheduling will be used in Weeks 11-17. Additionally, in Weeks 5-10, flexible scheduling may be used in no more than two weeks. In Weeks 5-16, the schedule lists the games tentatively set for Sunday Night Football on NBC. Only Sunday afternoon games are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, in which case the tentatively scheduled Sunday night game would be moved to an afternoon start time. Flexible scheduling will not be applied to games airing on Thursday or Monday nights.

A flexible scheduling move would be announced at least 12 days before the game. For Week 17, the Sunday night game will be announced no later than six days prior to December 29. The schedule does not list a Sunday night game in Week 17, but an afternoon game with playoff implications will be moved to that time slot. Flexible scheduling ensures quality matchups in all Sunday time slots in those weeks, and gives “surprise” teams a chance to play their way into prime time.
