NBCSN Presents First Race of the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs from Las Vegas Motor Speedway this Sunday at 7 p.m. ET

STAMFORD, Conn. – September 12, 2019 – NBC Sports presents the penultimate race of the 2019 IMSA SportsCar Championship from WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif., this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.

IMSA WEATHERTECH SPORTSCAR CHAMPIONSHIP AT LAGUNA SECA – SUNDAY AT 3 P.M. ET ON NBC  

With two rounds to go, Acura Team Penske’s #6 team (Dane Cameron/Juan Pablo Montoya) lead the DPi class standings by just seven points over 2018 champions Whelen Engineering Racing (#31 – Felipe Nasr/Pipo Derani); but, with three straight wins, Mazda Team Joest is making a late push. Their #55 team (Jonathan Bomarito/Harry Tincknell) sits third in the standings, just 17 points behind.

NBC Sports’ play-by-play voice Leigh Diffey, former Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver A.J. Allmendinger (analyst) and former IMSA GT driver and analyst Calvin Fish will call the action this weekend from Monterey. The Top 16 NASCAR drivers will kick off the 2019 Playoffs with a show-stopping display of burnouts on the Las Vegas Strip, as NBC Sports presents the NASCAR America Burnout Boulevard Driven by Goodyear this Thursday at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The live hour-long special will showcase burnouts from all 16 NASCAR Playoff drivers as fans line Las Vegas Boulevard to get an up-close look at how they celebrate a win.

NBC Sports NASCAR pit reporter Kelli Stavast will host the high-octane hour and judge each driver’s burnout alongside analysts Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Steve Letarte. NBC Sports’ Parker Kligerman will kick things off leading the pack down the boulevard in the NBC Sports’ Toyota on-track car. Marty Snider will also be on hand to conduct driver interviews before and after their burnouts.

NASCAR CUP SERIES PLAYOFFS – LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY – SUNDAY AT 7 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

NBC Sports roars ahead into the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs this weekend in Las Vegas with live coverage of the South Point 400 from Las Vegas Motor Speedway this Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. NBC Sports’ will kick off weekend race coverage with the final regular season race of the Xfinity Series with the Rhino Pro Truck Outfitter 300 this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Sunday’s race-day coverage begins at 5 p.m. ET with NASCAR America live from the Peacock Pit Box on pit road followed by Countdown to Green at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Pre-race coverage will also highlight Las Vegas natives Kurt Busch and Kyle Busch and their local ties. Kyle Busch will narrate a grassroots essay on Las Vegas racing and Kurt Busch will be featured in the latest installment of Behind the Driver. Live coverage of the South Point 400 begins at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Wrapping up race-day coverage, NBCSN will present a half-hour post-race show at 11 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports’ lead race announcer Rick Allen will call the action alongside 21-time Cup Series winner Jeff Burton. Daytona 500 winning crew chief Steve Letarte and two-time Daytona 500 Champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. will provide commentary from a second booth.
