POSTSEASON BREAKDOWN

The remainder of the PLL postseason will stretch across two weekends – this Saturday, September 14, in New York, and the Championship Weekend on September 21 in Philadelphia. The Championship Game will air 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

The first team to punch its ticket to the PLL Championship on Saturday, September 21, is Whipsnakes LC, following a dominant 15-7 victory over top-ranked Chaos LC in Columbus last weekend. Whipsnakes offensive star Matt Rambo had another standout performance, and will move on to the final in his hometown of Philadelphia in two weeks.

As for Chaos LC, it will battle Redwoods LC this weekend at Red Bull Arena for the other spot in the final. This is the teams’ third meeting, with Chaos owning a 2-0 record over Redwoods. Chaos beat Redwoods 12-11 in a thrilling OT back in Week 3, then won 13-10 in Week 8 of the regular season.

Connor Fields of Chaos was tied for second in the league in the regular season with most goals (22), while Redwoods’ Jules Heningburg followed Fields with 21. Both Fields and Heningburg had 33 total points on the regular season.

For the 1st Draft Pick Bracket bracket, Atlas LC defeated Chrome LC last weekend in round one, and will face the winner of Saturday’s Chrome-Archers matchup for the top pick of next year’s draft.
