STAMFORD, Conn. – August 15, 2019 – NBC Sports continues its exclusive coverage of the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series this weekend with live coverage of the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa., this Sunday, August 18, at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Pre-race coverage on NBCSN begins at 2 p.m. ET.
In addition to Sunday’s INDYCAR race, this weekend features “Motor Madness Saturday” on NBCSN – 12 consecutive hours of motorsports coverage beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET with INDYCAR qualifying from Pocono. Saturday’s 12-hour motorsports block will include NASCAR Cup Series racing under the lights at Bristol, Pro Motocross coverage from Budds Creek, and world-class vehicles at this week’s Mecum Auctions event in Monterey, Calif.

With just four races left in the season, four drivers have separated themselves from the pack in the race for the 2019 championship. Josef Newgarden (Team Penske; 504 points) holds a 16-point championship lead over Alexander Rossi (Andretti Autosport; 488 points), followed by 2019 Indianapolis 500 winner Simon Pagenaud (Team Penske; 457 points) and five-time series champion Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi Racing; 442 points), winner of the most recent race at Mid-Ohio on July 28. Rossi took home the checkered flag last year at Pocono.

Live streaming coverage from Pocono continues Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET on IndyCar Pass with qualifying, followed by final practice at 4 p.m. ET. NBCSN will air the qualifying session Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET.
NBC Sports’ lead INDYCAR broadcast team of Leigh Diffey (play-by-play), Townsend Bell (analyst), and Paul Tracy (analyst) will have the call of the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday. Kevin Lee, Dillon Welch, and Robin Miller will provide reports from the pits.
Sunday’s pre-race coverage on NBCSN begins at 2 p.m. ET, and will include a feature with NBC Sports motorsports reporter Rutledge Wood and 19-year-old rookie Colton Herta, who become the youngest driver to ever win a race in the NTT IndyCar Series with his victory at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, this past March. Pre-race coverage will also include a follow-up with the Indianapolis 500 champion, Simon Pagenaud, who brought the Borg Warner Trophy home to France.

LUCAS OIL PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP AT BUDDS CREEK – SATURDAY ON NBCSN AND NBC SPORTS GOLD
NBC Sports continues its presentation of the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship this weekend with coverage from Budds Creek Motocross Park in Mechanicsville, Md., on NBCSN and NBC Sports Gold – NBC Sports Digital’s direct-to-consumer live-streaming product.
In addition, NBC Sports Gold’s “Pro Motocross Pass” will super-serve the passionate Motocross fan base with live, commercial-free coverage of qualifiers and 1st and 2nd motos of Budds Creek.
Ken Roczen swept both 450MX motos at Unadilla last week to earn his third overall win of the season and pull within one point of Marvin Musquin for second in the class standings. Eli Tomac holds a 40-point lead in the standings with two events to go. Adam Cianciarulo holds a 28-point advantage in the 250MX class over Dylan Ferrandis heading into this weekend.
Jason Weigandt will handle play-by-play duties for this weekend’s coverage from Budds Creek alongside analyst and two-time AMA Pro Motocross Champion Grant Langston and pit reporter Will Christien.
