STAMFORD, Conn. – July 25, 2019 – Following its inaugural All-Star Weekend in L.A., the Premier Lacrosse League picks up regular-season play this weekend in Denver for Week 7 games across NBC Sports. Saturday night’s game at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN will be a battle between the league’s leading goal scorer Connor Fields and Chaos LC (4-2) vs. the league’s point leader Matt Rambo and top-ranked Whipsnakes LC (5-1), which can become the first team in PLL history to qualify for the playoffs. Saturday also features a Week 1 rematch between Atlas and Redwoods at 5 p.m. ET, exclusively on NBC Sports Gold. Week 7 culminates with coverage of Archers LC at Chrome LC Sunday at 4 p.m. ET, also exclusively on NBC Sports Gold’s Premier Lacrosse League Pass.”

Chantel McCabe will host this weekend’s coverage, while NBC Sports’ Brendan Burke (play-by-play) and Ryan Boyle (PLL analyst) call the games from Dick’s Sporting Good Park in Denver, Colo.

For each game throughout the PLL season, players from each team will be mic’d up for under-the-helmet interviews with analyst Ryan Boyle up in the booth. Players will be wired up 75 minutes prior to the game in the locker room. For Saturday’s broadcast on NBCSN, Fields and Rambo, as well as Matt Dunn of Whipsnakes LC, will be mic’d up for under-the-helmet interviews.

WEEK 7 PREVIEW

ATLAS LC (2-4) vs. REDWOODS LC (4-2) – Saturday, July 27, at 5 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Gold

Week 7 kicks off with a match-up between the league’s leading face-off athlete Trevor Baptiste (67.1%) of Atlas LC and the player with the most caused turnovers this season Garrett Epple (18) of Redwoods LC. Atlas and Redwoods faced off against each other back in Week 1, where Redwoods won, 11-9. Atlas is led by Baptiste and Paul Rabil, whose All-Star Game play earned him a SportsCenter Top 10 placement on Sunday night, and will look to these two leaders to take home the victory this time around.


CHAOS LC (4-2) vs. WHIPSNAKES LC (5-1)
– Saturday, July 27, at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN

Saturday night’s battle on NBCSN will feature the league’s top goal scorer Connor Fields (16) of Chaos LC and the leading point scorer Matt Rambo (27) of top-ranked Whipsnakes LC. These two teams faced off in Week 1 where Whipsnakes ultimately won, 15-14, in a dramatic overtime. With their league-high 5-1 record, Whips can clinch the league’s first-ever playoff berth with another win against Chaos on Saturday night.


ARCHERS LC (2-4) vs. CHROME LC (1-5)
– Sunday, July 28, at 4 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Gold

Week 7 play culminates on Sunday with a Week 1 rematch between Tom Schreiber of Archers LC and Justin Guterding of Chrome LC.  The teams matched up back in Week 1, where Archers attackman Will Manny (4G) buried the game-winner in overtime to defeat Chrome, 13-12.

ALL-STAR GAME IS MOST-WATCHED AND HIGHEST-RATED NBCSN PLL TELECAST EVER, POSTS FOURTH STRAIGHT WEEK OF RATINGS GROWTH

In another high-scoring one-goal thriller, the PLL’s first-ever All-Star game averaged a Total Audience Delivery of 128,000 and a 0.074 HH rating, making it the most-watched and highest-rated NBCSN PLL telecast ever and third-best behind the two PLL broadcasts on NBC on 6/9 (412,000 viewers) and 6/16 (308,000). Sunday’s game peaked from 8-8:15pm, with 215,000 TV-only viewers.
