DAVID FEHERTY JOINS THE MIKE TIRICO PODCAST, HIGHLIGHTING NEW SLATE OF NBC SPORTS PODCASTS THIS WEEK

Kyle Shanahan Joins Chris Simms for Debut of Chris Simms Unbuttoned

STAMFORD, Conn. – March 7, 2019 – NBC Sports presents a new slate of special guests and episodes across several podcasts this week, highlighted by the launch of Chris Simms’ new podcast and digital series Chris Simms Unbuttoned. NBC Sports golf analyst and Emmy-nominated host David Feherty, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, and Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer are among this week’s featured guests.

New episodes of 15 podcasts will be available for download on all major podcast platforms including: NBC Sports’ Scores App, Apple, Stitcher, Spotify, Google Podcasts, TuneIn and iHeart.

Following is a sport-by-sport look at what’s on tap:  

GOLF

  • The Mike Tirico Podcast: This weekly podcast features Mike Tirico’s takes on the biggest news across the sports landscape, as well as interviews with sports commentators and athletes.
    On this week’s episode: With NBC Golf’s coverage of the Arnold Palmer Invitation and the Players Championship up next on the PGA Tour schedule, it’s a perfect time for Mike to be joined by David Feherty to discuss the upcoming events and how the game has changed in recent years. Feherty also lists some of his favorite golfers to watch and touches on the significance of his native Northern Ireland’s first major championship in nearly 70 years as The Open returns to Royal Portrush this July.

  • Chris Simms Unbuttoned: NBC Sports’ Chris Simms examines everything happening in the NFL and around the sports world.     On this week’s episode: For the show’s debut episode, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan joins Chris to discuss their days as teammates at the University of Texas and then talks about his team heading into the 2019 season; New York Giants’ legend Phil Simms also makes his first appearance on Wednesday’s show to talk NFL news with his son.
