STAMFORD, Conn. – February 21, 2019 – Exactly 25 years to the day after the eagerly-anticipated ladies’ free skate at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics, NBC Sports presents 14 hours of special programming to remember the event, starting Monday, Feb. 25 at 10:30 a.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. Programming includes three special airings of NBC Sports’ “Nancy & Tonya” documentary, five “Return to PyeongChang” figure skating episodes, and more than five hours of 2019 U.S. Figure Skating Championships coverage.

The three-hour telecast of the 1994 ladies’ figure skating short-program competition two days earlier (Feb. 23) in Lillehammer was viewed by more than 126 million Americans – ranking as the fourth-most viewed show at that time in U.S. history (according to Nielsen data released by CBS, which televised the event).

In addition to special figure skating programming next week, several U.S. Olympic athletes will highlight extensive winter sports coverage this week across NBC Sports platforms. Two-time Olympic champion Ted Ligety is expected to headline coverage of the alpine skiing World Cup from Bulgaria and 2018 Olympic gold medalist Jessie Diggins is expected to compete at the World Nordic Skiing Championships in Seefeld, Austria.

ALPINE SKIING WORLD CUP – BULGARIA (MEN’S) & SWITZERLAND (WOMEN’S)

Coverage of the alpine skiing World Cup season continues this week with men’s events in Bulgaria and women’s events in Switzerland. The American men should be led by Olympians Steven Nyman, Travis Ganong, Bryce Bennett and Ryan Cochran-Siegle in the super-G, while Ligety is expected to be the top American in the giant slalom.

Live TV coverage from Bulgaria begins with the men’s super combined on Friday, Feb. 22 at 7 a.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and NBC Sports Gold’s “Snow Pass.” Live coverage of the women’s events from Switzerland, featuring U.S. Olympian Alice Merryweather, begins on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 4:15 a.m. ET with the women’s downhill on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and NBC Sports Gold’s “Snow Pass.”

“Snow Pass” gives fans access to live and on-demand domestic and international competitions of seven Olympic winter sports through April 2019, including all events of the Alpine Skiing World Cup.

WORLD NORDIC SKIING CHAMPIONSHIPS – SEEFELD, AUSTRIA

LIVE COVERAGE CONTINUES TOMORROW, FRIDAY, FEB. 22 AT 4:30 A.M. ET ON NBC SPORTS GOLD’S “SNOW PASS” & OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

Live coverage of World Nordic Skiing Championships begins this week in Seefeld, Austria. Diggins will be joined by her Olympic teammates Sadie Bjornsen, with whom she teamed up at the 2017 World Championships in the classic team sprint to win a bronze medal, and Sophie Caldwell in the cross-country skiing events. The U.S. will also field nordic combined and ski jumping teams for the two-week competition.

Live coverage of the World Nordic Skiing Championships continues tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 22 with the two legs of the first nordic combined event at 4:30 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and NBC Sports Gold’s “Snow Pass.”

WORLD SPRINT SPEED SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS – HEERENVEEN, NETHERLANDS

LIVE COVERAGE BEGINS SATURDAY, FEB. 23 AT 9 A.M. ET ON NBC SPORTS GOLD’S “SPEED SKATING PASS”

PyeongChang Olympic team pursuit bronze medalist Brittany Bowe and two-time Olympian Joey Mantia will continue their seasons this week in the Netherlands. Bowe won gold in the 1000m at the World Single Distance Championships earlier this month, while Mantia successfully defended his mass start world title. At this weekend’s championships, skaters will compete in a 500m and a 1000m two times over the course of the two-day event, with cumulative results of the four races determining winners.

TV coverage begins Saturday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. ET and continues Sunday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.  In addition to TV coverage, all races will be available live on NBC Sports Gold.

GYMNASTICS WORLD CUP – MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

TV COVERAGE BEGINS SATURDAY, FEB. 23 AT 9 P.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

The second individual apparatus World Cup event that will play a part in 2020 Olympic qualification will be held in Melbourne, Australia this week. Throughout the eight-meet series, individual gymnasts will compete on apparatus for the chance to earn individual Olympic spots by name. Gymnasts’ three best results will be used to determine up to 10 Olympic qualifying spots. The Melbourne meet will feature seven-time Olympian Oksana Chusovitina and 2012 Olympic gold medalist and reigning world high bar champion Epke Zonderland

BOBSLED & SKELETON WORLD CUP – CALGARY, ALBERTA

LIVE TV COVERAGE BEGINS TOMORROW, FRIDAY FEB. 22 AT 7 P.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

Three-time Olympic bobsled medalist Elana Meyers Taylor, who has six podium finishes this season, headlines the last stop of the bobsled and skeleton World Cup season. Meyers Taylor currently sits in fourth place in the overall World Cup standings, has won two straight competitions, and finished on the podium in all but one World Cup event this season. 2018 Olympian Kendall Wesenberg is sixth in the women’s skeleton rankings following her third-place finish in Lake Placid, the first World Cup medal for a U.S. skeleton athlete in over two years. 2010 Olympic gold medalist Justin Olsen and PyeongChang Olympian Codie Bascue are the top U.S. men heading into this weekend’s competition.

FREESTYLE SKIING WORLD CUP – TAZAWAKO, JAPAN & MINSK, BELARUS

LIVE COVERAGE BEGINS TOMORROW, FRIDAY FEB. 22 AT 11:30 P.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA & NBC SPORTS GOLD’S “SNOW PASS”

The freestyle skiing World Cup continues this weekend with moguls events in Tazawako, Japan, and aerials in Minsk, Belarus. PyeongChang Olympian Jaelin Kauf, who won silver in dual moguls at the World Championships earlier this month, is currently ranked third in the women’s moguls World Cup standings. On the men’s side, two-time Olympian Brad Wilson is also coming off a world silver medal in dual moguls and is eighth in the World Cup standings. In aerials, three-time Olympian Ashley Caldwell finished fifth at the World Championships earlier this month and is likely to lead the American women this season. Chris Lillis is currently the top American man in the aerials World Cup standings.

LUGE WORLD CUP – SOCHI, RUSSIA

TV COVERAGE BEGINS SATURDAY, FEB. 23 AT 1:30 P.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

The final event of the luge World Cup season will be held this weekend in Sochi, Russia, the site of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. Two-time Olympian Summer Britcher currently leads the Americans with her third-place ranking in the World Cup standings. 2018 Olympic singles silver medalist Chris Mazdzer ended his season early after last week’s World Cup in Oberhof due to a neck injury. Mazdzer was ranked sixth in doubles with two-time Olympian Jayson Terdiman.
