STAMFORD, Conn. – February 7, 2019 – 2018 Olympic gold medalist Chloe Kim, and three-time Olympic medalists Lindsey Vonn and Mikaela Shiffrin highlight extensive winter sports coverage this week across NBC Sports’ platforms.

Kim headlines NBC Sports’ 25+ hours of coverage of the World Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding Championships in Utah. She will compete in the snowboarding halfpipe tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. ET on NBCSN, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, and NBC Sports Gold’s “Snow Pass.” She leads a deep field of decorated U.S. Olympians including two-time gold medalists David Wise and Jamie Anderson, PyeongChang gold medalist Red Gerard, PyeongChang silver medalist Alex Ferreira, and two-time medalist Nick Goepper. Live coverage of the World Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding Championships continues tonight at 9 p.m. ET with the freestyle skiing team aerials on NBCSN, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, and NBC Sports Gold’s “Snow Pass.”

Live coverage of the World Alpine Skiing Championships also continues this week in Are, Sweden. Shiffrin will lead the U.S. alpine skiing team, as she is seeking to become the first skier to win four consecutive world championship titles in the same event (slalom). Shiffrin won the women’s super-G on Tuesday and is expected to race in the giant slalom and slalom races next week.  Olympians Steven Nyman, Travis Ganong and Bryce Bennett are expected to headline the U.S. men’s speed team, while two-time Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety and two-time Olympian Tommy Ford will likely lead the American men in giant slalom.

Live coverage of the World Alpine Skiing Championships continues tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 8 at 4:55 a.m. ET with the women’s super-combined on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and NBC Sports Gold’s “Snow Pass.”

Following are programming highlights from this week on NBC Sports:

FOUR CONTINENTS FIGURE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS – ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA

LIVE COVERAGE BEGINS TODAY AT 3:30 P.M. ET ON NBC SPORTS GOLD’S “FIGURE SKATING PASS”; LIVE TV COVERAGE BEGINS AT 5 P.M. ON NBCSN

Beginning today, many of the world’s most accomplished skaters will compete in the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, the last major international event before the World Championships in March.

The men’s field is likely to be led by 2018 Olympic silver medalist Shoma Uno from Japan, as well as U.S. Olympians Jason Brown and Vincent Zhou. In the ladies’ singles, Japan’s Rika Kihira, who won the Grand Prix Final in December, will compete for her first Four Continents title against her teammate and defending champion Kaori Sakamoto. PyeongChang Olympic pairs’ silver medalists Sui Wenjing and Han Cong from China will return to competition after missing most of last year due to injury, while Americans Madison Hubbell and Zach Donohue are the favorites in ice dance.

2006 Olympic ice dance silver medalist Tanith White will handle play-by-play for all disciplines, joined by 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir as analysts on men’s, ladies’, and pairs’ programs. 2014 Olympic ice dance gold medalist Charlie White will serve as analyst for the ice dance competition.

Live coverage of the event begins on NBC Sports Gold’s “Figure Skating Pass” today at 3:30 p.m. ET and NBCSN at 5 p.m. ET with the ladies’ short program. NBC will present coverage of the ladies’ and men’s free skates on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 4 p.m.

WORLD SINGLE DISTANCE SPEED SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS – INZELL, GERMANY

 LIVE COVERAGE CONTINUES TOMORROW, FRIDAY, FEB. 8 AT 10:15 A.M. ET ON NBC SPORTS GOLD’S “SPEED SKATING PASS”

PyeongChang Olympic team pursuit bronze medalist Brittany Bowe looks to collect the top prize this weekend at the World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships. Bowe won the 1000m and the 1500m at this event in 2015 and has seven world medals to her name. She currently leads the 1000m standings in the World Cup and is a medal favorite in three events: 500m, 1000m, and 1500m. Two-time Olympian Joey Mantia will look to defend his mass start world title as well.

TV coverage begins tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. ET and continues through Sunday, Feb. 10 on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.  In addition to TV coverage, all races will be available live on NBC Sports Gold.

IAAF WORLD INDOOR TOUR – MADRID, SPAIN

LIVE COVERAGE BEGINS TOMORROW, FRIDAY, FEB. 8 AT 1 P.M. ET ON NBC SPORTS GOLD

The IAAF World Indoor Tour, a series of six international events with stops in the U.S., Germany, Poland, Spain and Great Britain, continues in Madrid this weekend. Overall tour winners in each discipline earn $20,000 and a guaranteed spot at the 2020 World Indoor Championships. Two-time world 200m champion Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands is expected to headline the field.

LUGE WORLD CUP – OBERHOF, GERMANY

TV COVERAGE BEGINS SATURDAY, FEB. 9 AT 1 P.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

The luge World Cup season continues with the penultimate stop in Oberhof, Germany. Two-time Olympian Summer Britcher leads the Americans in third place in this season’s World Cup standings, while PyeongChang Olympian Emily Sweeney earned a bronze medal at last month’s World Championships. 2018 Olympic singles silver medalist Chris Mazdzer is seventh in doubles with two-time Olympian Jayson Terdiman, while also competing in singles.

PyeongChang Olympian Maame Biney headlines the U.S. short track team heading into the final World Cup of the season before March’s World Championships. Biney, who defended her world junior title in the 500m two weeks ago, will be joined by her Olympic teammates Aaron Tran and Thomas Hong.

BIATHLON WORLD CUP – CANMORE, ALBERTA

LIVE COVERAGE CONTINUES TODAY ON NBC SPORTS GOLD’S “SNOW PASS”; TV COVERAGE BEGINS TONIGHT AT 8 P.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

The seventh competition of the 2018-19 biathlon World Cup season will be held in Canmore, Alberta, at the site of the 1988 Calgary Olympics biathlon competition. The top U.S. woman in the overall standings is 2018 Olympian Clare Egan, who earned a career-best sixth-place finish in pursuit at the first World Cup stop of the season in Slovenia. Egan and two-time Olympian Susan Dunklee, who had a season-best seventh-place finish in the pursuit on Jan 12, are expected to lead the American women in Canmore. Two-time Olympians Leif Nordgren and Sean Doherty are the top American men.

SKI JUMPING WORLD CUP – LJUBNO, SLOVENIA

The 2019 Fencing Grand Prix season spans nine cities, with each discipline being held in three different locations. The competition in Doha, Qatar took place January 27, and featured Rio Olympian Katharine Holmes and two-time individual NCAA champion Jake Hoyle. WORLD CUP SAILING – MIAMI, FLORIDA

TV COVERAGE BEGINS SUNDAY, FEB. 11 AT 6 P.M. ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

Miami, Florida, hosted the second stop of the World Sailing World Cup Series in Biscayne Bay. All 10 Olympic classes were contested, with more than 650 sailors competing. Rio Olympic bronze medalist Caleb Paine headlined the Americans, competing in the Finn class (men’s one-person heavyweight dinghy).
