TERRY CREWS GETS AMERICA ‘PUMPED UP’ FOR COLTS-CHIEFS ON NBC

STAMFORD, Conn. – Jan. 12, 2019 – Terry Crews — the acclaimed Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor, new America’s Got Talent: The Champions host, and former NFL player – will get America pumped up for today’s AFC Divisional Playoff game between the Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs by starring in an NBC Sports taped feature that will run within today’s pre-game coverage.

Colts-Chiefs begins today at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC, and is preceded at 3 p.m. ET by a special 90-minute edition of Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports, which will be live on-site from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

In the feature, Crews utilizes his trademark pec-pumping passion to whip America into a frenzy leading up to this highly-anticipated matchup between two of the league’s best teams and two of its elite quarterbacks: Indianapolis’ “does this look like he’s finished?” Andrew Luck and Kansas City’s “the kid is from another planet” Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes ranked #1 in the NFL with 50 touchdown passes this season, while Luck finished second with 39. Their 89 combined touchdown passes are the most ever by opposing quarterbacks in a playoff matchup.

“This game makes me want to dance,” says a robot-dancing Crews about the AFC’s top-seeded Chiefs (12-4) facing the sixth-seeded Colts (11-6), who have won 10 of their last l1 games, including a 21-7 victory over the Houston Texans in last week’s AFC Wild Card game.

The 90-second piece is scheduled to air at approximately 4 p.m. ET.
