On Bryson DeChambeau, 2018 Dell Technologies Championship winner at 16-under par (4-under 67 on Monday)

Peter Jacobsen – “Talk about being dialed in across the board. DeChambeau is being just that.”

Johnny Miller – “He is on some good hot streak.”

Dan Hicks – “This is some playoff performance by DeChambeau.”

Hicks – “His third victory in his last nine PGA TOUR starts, he climbs into the top-10 in the world golf ranking for the first time in his career and grab a stranglehold of these FedExCup Playoffs.”

Hicks – “With the win, DeChambeau will be the number one seed in Atlanta for the TOUR Championship. Doesn’t matter what happens next week at the BMW.”

Bryson DeChambeau speaking with NBC’s Steve Sands following his victory

Bryson DeChambeau – “Consistency obviously, but first off again I’ve got to thank my sponsors, Cobra Puma, Bridgestone Golf and HD Golf. They are instrumental in what I’ve done the past couple of weeks and my whole career honestly. I wouldn’t be here without them. Moving forward, consistency is a big thing for me. I’ve been trying to get that week-in and week-out. I was able to kind of figure something out last week on the putting green and that has kind of progressed me to move forward in the right way.”

DeChambeau – “I have to go back down to all the little stuff I do in my book. If I keep doing my numbers right and I keep executing the right shots, I can’t do much more than that. If I keep going that route, I’ll be hard to beat.”

On Justin Rose 2nd place at 14-under par (3-under 68 on Monday)

Miller – “That birdie on 18 was a little like stealing a shot or two. When you hit the trees, could have gone in the hazard, could have gone backwards, could have gone anywhere. It ended up in a pretty good spot and he took advantage of it. That’s why he was smirking when he hit that third shot close. He knew.”

Hicks – “What a finish for Justin Rose. Birdies four of the final six.”

On Tyrrell Hatton, T12 at 10-under par (2-over 73 on Monday)

Hicks – “His is in full Patton mode.”

Miller – “He is talking to that ball like it is actually listening.”

Hicks – “You talk to Tyrrell Hatton outside the rope and he is a pleasure to be around. He is a funny guy. He is a totally different guy inside the ropes. Almost like he is possessed.”

Miller – “On the course he is an emotional roller coaster.”

On Phil Mickelson, T12 at 10-under par (8-under 63 on Monday)

Hicks – “What a final round Monday for Mickelson. Phil turned back the clock.”

Phil Mickelson speaking with NBC Sports’ Steve Sands following his round

Phil Mickelson – “It’s fun to play like that and to get off to a good start and just kind of keep the round going. I had a good day. Drove the ball in play. Hit some good iron shots and made some putts. You have to do all of that to shoot low scores. It is fun to shoot the number that I feel like I have been capable of, but I just quite haven’t put it together. So this gives me a little bit of momentum heading into next week’s tournament.”

Mickelson – “Hopefully it will make it a lot easier for him [Furyk] or make it easy for him to take me. I’d love to be on that team. I’d love to be over there and give it a shot to win for the first time on European soil in quite some time. But, you have to look at the big picture and you have say, ‘Look, these eight guys, they are our nucleus.’ These are the guys that we need to play well to bring it home. And those guys have to decide who they feel are best to bring to the team, to bring them partners to play with and so forth. I’m hoping that I’m one of them, I’d love to be. But you can’t look at one round, you have to look at the big picture. Who brings what to the table as far as your game and setup for the golf course and partners. There is a lot more to look at than just one round.”

On Tiger Woods, T24 at 7-under par (even-par 71 on Monday)

Notah Begay – “He has to get a few more iron shots closer to the hole and then see a few more putts go in. It is pretty simple but it is hard to get those two things at the same time.”
