ORLANDO, Fla. (July 25, 2018) – Defending champion Bernhard Langer headlines a world-class international field at The Senior Open presented by Rolex, the fifth and final senior major championship of 2018, taking place at the Home of Golf, St Andrews Links in Scotland. Golf Channel and NBC will combine for 20 hours of live coverage Thursday-Sunday. The PGA TOUR is in Ontario for the RBC Canadian Open, where Jhonattan Vegas will look to defend his title over a strong field. The LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour jointly host the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open this week, taking place at Gullane Golf Club for the first time. And the European Tour hosts the European Open in Germany, where Jordan Smith will look to defend his title.

Langer defends: Bernhard Langer defeated Corey Pavin by three strokes to earn his 33rd career PGA Tour Champions win and his 10th senior major championship.

Open Champions at St Andrews, Faldo and Daly, Headline Field: Golf Channel analyst Nick Faldo and John Daly each have hoisted the Claret Jug at the Old Course (1990 and 1995, respectively), and are entered in the field this week. They are two of seven past Open Champions competing this week.

NBC Sports’ Chamblee and Koch Qualify for The Senior Open: NBC Sports golf analysts Brandel Chamblee and Gary Koch both earned co-medalist honors at their respective qualifying sites on Monday and will compete in The Senior Open. Chamblee turned in a 2-under par 69, while Koch carded a 3-under par 68.
