Telemundo Deportes Digital Coverage Delivering 11% Viewership Lift through Quarterfinals, With an Average Minute Audience (AMA) of 200,000+ Viewers

MOSCOW – July 8, 2018 – Heading into the tournament’s final week, Telemundo Deportes’ presentation 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ continues to deliver big numbers, drawing more viewers than ever to the network’s linear and digital platforms.

With four countries remaining in the World Cup (Belgium, Croatia, England, and France), below are four key Telemundo Deportes’ World Cup viewership metrics heading into the semifinals:

  • Through the quarterfinals (60 matches), Telemundo Deportes’ 2018 World Cup presentation has reached 34.7 million TV viewers – already exceeding the Spanish-language reach for the full 2010 tournament (32.2 million), which was in a comparable time zone. To this point in the tournament, Telemundo has reached nearly 55% of the U.S. Hispanic population.
  • Telemundo’s TV coverage has also set records for the network’s most-watched daytime windows 67% of the time on their respective days of the week (14 of 21 match days).
  • In addition, Telemundo Deportes’ digital presentation has reached 14.4 million unique users, generating a record-setting 125 million livestreams AND 1.87 BILLION live minutes viewed – which makes the 2018 World Cup the biggest livestream sports event in Spanish-language history.
  • Telemundo Deportes’ digital presentation has delivered a substantial 11% lift to the Total Audience Delivery with an Average Minute Audience of 210,000 viewers. The TAD average per match is 2.2 million viewers.
