(1) WASHINGTON CAPITALS AT (2) PITTSBURGH PENGUINS AT 7 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – CAPITALS LEAD 2-1

Led by Ovechkin, the Capitals erased a 3-2 third-period deficit and came from behind to beat the Penguins, 4-3, in Game 3 to take a 2-1 series lead. Ovechkin netted the game-winner with 1:07 left in the final frame, which marked the second-latest regulation game-winning goal in Washington’s playoff history. This is the third consecutive postseason that the Caps have faced the Pens, and marks the first time that Washington has held a series lead against Pittsburgh after three games.

Crosby found the back of the net and tallied an assist en route to recording his sixth multi-point game in these playoffs. Teammate Jake Guentzel became just the fourth player in the last 32 years to total 19-or-more points in the first nine games of the postseason after he registered a goal and an assist in Game 3. Washington will be without the services of Tom Wilson, who was suspended three games for a hit to the head of Pittsburgh’s Zach Aston-Reese.

(1) NASHVILLE PREDATORS AT (2) WINNIPEG JETS AT 9:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – JETS LEAD 2-1

Nashville dictated the play early in Game 3, jumping out to a 3-0 lead after the first period, but the Jets responded with four goals in the second period and topped the Predators, 7-4, to take the lead in the series. Mark Scheifele registered his fifth straight game with multiple points and recorded an assist on Winnipeg’s game-winning goal late in the third period. Scheifele is just the fifth player since 2000 to record five consecutive multi-point playoff games and the first since Crosby in 2010. Filip Forsberg continues to be a dominant offensive outlet for the Predators, scoring one goal and notching an assist in the loss. He has 11 points in nine games this postseason.
