STAMFORD, Conn. – April 17, 2018 – NBC Sports Group’s comprehensive coverage of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs continues tonight with three matchups across NBCSN and CNBC, highlighted by Game 4 of the (1) Vegas Golden Knights-(WC1) Los Angeles Kings series at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, as the Knights look to become the first franchise in NHL history to sweep a playoff series in its inaugural season.
Tonight’s coverage on NBCSN begins at 7:30 p.m. ET, when the (1) Washington Capitals visit the (WC1) Columbus Blue Jackets in Game 3 of their series, with the Blue Jackets leading 2-0. Pre-game coverage begins tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN with NHL Live.
CNBC’s coverage of the Stanley Cup Playoffs begins at 8 p.m. ET, as the (2) Winnipeg Jets visit the (3) Minnesota Wild in Game 4 of their first-round series, with Winnipeg leading 2-1.

THREE-TIME STANLEY CUP CHAMPION PATRICK SHARP TO SERVE AS GUEST ANALYST ON NHL LIVE TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY
Three-time Stanley Cup champion Patrick Sharp will serve as a guest analyst on NHL Live tonight and Wednesday during NBC Sports’ first-round Stanley Cup Playoff coverage. Sharp boasts an impressive 15-plus year NHL career with more than 1,000 games played, the majority of which have come with the Chicago Blackhawks. Sharp was an alternate captain on Chicago’s three Stanley Cup-winning teams in 2010, 2013 and 2015, and ranks sixth in Blackhawks franchise history in goals (291). Sharp was originally drafted by the Flyers in the third round of the 2001 NHL Draft, and has also played for Philadelphia and Dallas during his NHL career.
(1) WASHINGTON CAPITALS AT (WC1) COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS – GAME 3 AT 7:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – BLUE JACKETS LEAD 2-0
The Blue Jackets return to Columbus for Game 3 tonight after defeating the Capitals, 5-4, in overtime on Sunday to extend their series lead, 2-0. Columbus opened the series by erasing multi-goal deficits to win both games, becoming just the fifth team in NHL postseason history to accomplish that feat. Cam Atkinson notched two goals and teammate Matt Calvert netted the game-winner in Game 2. Alex Ovechkin, who led the NHL in goals during the regular season, scored twice in the affair.
(2) WINNIPEG JETS AT (3) MINNESOTA WILD – GAME 4 AT 8 P.M. ET ON CNBC – JETS LEAD 2-1
The Wild look to defend home ice for the second consecutive game and even the series at two games apiece after besting the Jets, 6-2, on Sunday. Four different players scored in the second frame, including regular-season team scoring leader Eric Staal. Winnipeg goaltender Connor Hellebuyck had his 11-game winning streak snapped, dating back to the regular season, and was pulled after allowing six goals on 22 shots in Game 3.
(1) VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS AT (WC1) LOS ANGELES KINGS – GAME 4 AT 10:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – GOLDEN KNIGHTS LEAD 3-0
The Golden Knights – the third expansion team since 1968-69 to clinch a berth in the playoffs – look to complete their first postseason sweep against the Kings tonight on NBCSN. Three goals in the final frame of Game 3 lifted Vegas past Los Angeles on Sunday. James Neal and William Karlsson each recorded a goal in the win. Vegas is the third franchise in NHL history (1970 Penguins, 1996 Panthers) to win each of its first three playoff games, and would become the first expansion team in NHL history to sweep its first postseason series.
