NBC Sports Group Has Televised the 10 Most-Watched Live Premier League Telecasts in U.S. History

Match Also Ranks as NBC Sports Digital’s Second-Most Streamed Premier League Match with 167,000 Unique Devices

STAMFORD, Conn. – April 10, 2018 – NBC Sports Group’s presentation of Manchester United’s 3-2 victory over Manchester City in the Manchester Derby on Saturday (April 7) posted a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) average of 1.72 million viewers across all platforms – NBC, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, and Telemundo – to rank as the most-watched Premier League match in U.S. history, according to live plus same day official national data released today by Nielsen, and digital data from Adobe Analytics.

NBC delivered 1.35 million viewers for the Manchester Derby, with 309,000 on Telemundo, and an Average Minute Audience of 59,800 across NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

Since kicking off its Premier League coverage in August 2013, NBC Sports Group has televised the 10 most-watched live Premier League telecasts ever in the U.S. across all platforms.

In addition, more than 167,000 unique devices streamed the Manchester Derby on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app — ranking as NBC Sports Group’s second-most streamed Premier League match (Liverpool v. Man United, 10/17/16, 200,000 unique devices). To date, the 2017-18 Premier League season has totaled 3.6 million unique devices and 654 million live minutes, up 39% and 7%, respectively, compared to the same point last season.

The match – the 176th installment of the crosstown rivalry – was just the second loss for league leaders Manchester City this season, and put their title celebrations on hold. All three goals for the Red Devils came in the second half, with Paul Pogba striking twice in two minutes, and Chris Smalling scoring the game-winning goal.
