STAMFORD, Conn. – February 11, 2018 – NBC’s primetime coverage live across all time zones continues tonight beginning at 7 p.m. ET, featuring Sochi slalom gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin, who makes her PyeongChang Olympic debut as a gold medal contender in women’s giant slalom. Coverage also includes the conclusion of the figure skating team event, with former U.S. champions Adam Rippon, Mirai Nagasu, and Maia and Alex Shibutani representing the U.S. On NBCSN live in primetime, 2014 Olympic snowboarding gold medalist Jamie Anderson looks to defend her title in slopestyle. She’ll be joined by two first-time Olympians, Julia Marino and Hailey Langland, who could also challenge for podium spots.

Primetime coverage also features the gold medal final in women’s moguls as Americans Jaelin Kauf and Keaton McCargo are expected to contend for podium spots. Men’s luge will award medals after the final two runs featuring Olympic silver medalist Chris Mazdzer, who made U.S. Olympic history by winning the country’s first-ever medal in men’s singles luge.

Tonight’s live “Primetime Plus” coverage begins at 11:35 p.m. ET with the second run of women’s alpine skiing, followed by women’s halfpipe. America’s 17-year-old snowboarding phenom Chloe Kim headlines the women’s halfpipe competition. Her U.S. teammate, five-time Olympian Kelly Clark, is also expected to contend for a medal. They will likely be challenged by two-time reigning world champion Cai Xuetong of China.

Today’s daytime coverage on NBC kicks off at 3 p.m. ET, and features Lowell Bailey, who became the first American biathlete to capture a world title last season. He’ll open his PyeongChang schedule with the men’s 10km sprint. Coverage also includes speed skating’s men’s 5000m and cross-country’s men’s skiathlon.

NBCSN’s Sunday coverage continues at 6 p.m. ET, as Liam McHugh and 2006 Olympic ice dance silver medalist Tanith White host Olympic Ice alongside analyst and 1984 Olympic figure skating gold medalist Scott Hamilton. The hour-long studio show previews the day’s Olympic figure skating action while also providing viewers with analysis and highlights of the previous night’s competition. MONDAY, FEBRUARY 12

Monday’s primetime coverage live across all time zones on NBC continues begins at 8 p.m. ET, and is expected to feature snowboarding phenom 17-year-old Chloe Kim leading the way in the women’s halfpipe final. Her U.S. teammate, five-time Olympian Kelly Clark, is also expected to contend for a medal. They will likely be challenged by two-time reigning world champion Cai Xuetong of China. Three-time U.S. Olympian Heather Bergsma, the world record-holder in the 1500m, and teammate Brittany Bowe, who won the 2015 world title in the event, are expected to compete in speed skating’s women’s 1500m final.

Monday’s live primetime’s coverage also includes the men’s halfpipe qualifying, as two-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White makes his PyeongChang debut seeking redemption after his fourth-place finish in Sochi. U.S. teammates and first-time Olympians Ben Ferguson, Jake Pates, and Chase Josey also could vie for podium spots. Coverage begins with two-time Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety leading the U.S. in the men’s super combined downhill phase.

Live “Primetime Plus” coverage at 12:05 a.m. ET includes the men’s super combined slalom phase, followed by the conclusion of men’s halfpipe qualifying.

NBC’s Monday daytime coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET, highlighted by the men’s moguls final. The U.S., headlined by Troy Murphy, Brad Wilson, and Casey Andringa, could contend for a medal. Women’s ski jumping will award medals. The U.S. will likely be led by 2013 world champion Sarah Hendrickson. U.S. flag bearer Erin Hamlin, who made history in 2014 by winning the first Olympic singles medal for the U.S. in luge, makes her competition debut in the first two runs of the women’s luge competition. The women’s luge competition airs live at 5 a.m. ET on NBCSN.

NBCSN host coverage of the men’s 12.5km pursuit at 11 a.m. ET, as Lowell Bailey, who became the first American biathlete to capture a world title last season, returns for his second event of the Games.

NBC HIGHLIGHTS (Primetime):

  • Figure Skating – Coverage features the pairs’ short program, where Team USA is represented by the husband-and-wife duo of Alexa Scimeca Knierim and Chris Knierim.
  • Alpine Skiing – Multi-medal threat Mikaela Shiffrin, who in 2014 became the youngest-ever Olympic slalom champion, begins her title defense as the heavy favorite (run 1 of 2).
  • Snowboarding – American Shaun White targets a third Olympic halfpipe gold against a field that also features Ben Ferguson and Australia’s Scotty James.

 

NBC HIGHLIGHTS (Daytime):

  • Speed Skating – In speed skating, the men’s 1500m features American Joey Mantia and four-time Olympic medalist Shani Davis, who took silver at this distance in 2006 and 2010.
  • Luge – Team USA’s Erin Hamlin, the 2014 bronze medalist, looks to again disrupt the German hegemony in women’s luge.
  • Cross-Country Skiing – Coverage also includes cross-country (men’s and women’s individual sprint events).

 

NBC HIGHLIGHTS (Primetime Plus):

  • Alpine Skiing – Alpine coverage includes U.S. sensation Mikaela Shiffrin’s attempt to become the first back-to-back Olympic champion in women’s slalom (run 2 of 2).
  • Short Track – Short track-power South Korea could celebrate gold in the women’s 500m, where Choi Min-Jeong is among the favorites, with 18-year-old upstart Maame Biney of Virginia an outside contender. Short Track action also includes qualifying in the men’s 1000m and men’s 5000m relay.

 

NBCSN HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Hockey – Four-time defending champion Canada continues women’s Group A play against Finland, while Hilary Knight and Brianna Decker lead Team USA against Olympic Athletes from Russia. Game of the Day (teams TBD). Sweden and Switzerland face off in Women’s Group B action.
  • Cross-Country Skiing – The cross-country men’s and women’s individual sprint events begin; Team USA’s Sadie Bjornsen is a contender in the latter.
  • Luge – Luge action includes run 3 (of 4) in women’s singles, as Erin Hamlin of New York continues pursuit of another Olympic podium after earning Team USA’s first-ever Olympic singles medal in 2014.
  • Speed Skating – The men’s 1500m features American Joey Mantia and his 35-year-old compatriot Shani Davis, who took silver at this distance in 2006 and 2010.
  • Short Track –South Korea’s Choi Min-Jeong enter the women’s 500m (final) as a favorite on home ice, while 18-year-old Maame Biney is an outside contender for the U.S. Reigning overall world champion Seo Yi-Ra headlines a deep South Korean contingent in the men’s 1000m (qualifying), with R. Celski and John-Henry Krueger leading Team USA. Coverage also includes the men’s 5000m relay (qualifying).
  • Curling – Curling’s first Olympic mixed doubles competition nears conclusion with the bronze medal final (teams TBD). The men’s curling round-robin phase begins as John Shuster-skipped Team USA takes on host South Korea.
  • Medal Ceremonies – Coverage of notable podium ceremonies from the Medals Plaza in PyeongChang.
  • Figure Skating – Figure Skating coverage features early groups in the pairs’ short program. Liam McHugh will host Olympic Ice Presented by Toyota, a live, daily figure skating show. He will be joined by co-host Tanith White and analyst Scott Hamilton for in-depth coverage of all things Figure Skating, including a preview of the pairs’ short program.

 

CNBC HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Curling – The first-ever Olympic gold medal final in mixed doubles curling will be awarded (teams TBD).

  • Jimmy Roberts will host Winter Olympics Daily, a 30-minute studio show providing features, storytelling, commentary, and highlights, including a “Meet the Olympic Press” segment that will bring together contributing journalists to discuss all the daily news and storylines surrounding PyeongChang.
  • Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will provide live coverage of the pageantry and exhilaration surrounding every Olympic medal ceremony from the PyeongChang Medal Plaza.
