STAMFORD, Conn. – February 8, 2018 NBC’s coverage of the PyeongChang Games begins in primetime live across all time zones TONIGHT at 8 p.m. ET – one night before Opening Ceremony coverage tomorrow night – and continues until the Closing Ceremony on Sunday, Feb. 25 – highlighted by figure skating, qualifying in the men’s and women’s moguls competitions, and qualifying in men’s ski jumping.

Two-time U.S. champion Nathan Chen and two-time U.S. champion pairs’ duo Alexa Scimeca Knierim and Chris Knierim are expected to compete for Team USA on the first day of figure skating competition in primetime on NBC. The American team won bronze in the inaugural team event in Sochi.

Women’s moguls will be headlined by American Jaelin Kauf, a 21-year-old who has enjoyed a breakthrough in recent months, recording four World Cup podium finishes since the start of the season. The men’s team will feature Sochi Olympian Brad Wilson and newcomer Casey Andringa.

NBCSN’s live coverage begins tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET, as siblings Matt and Becca Hamilton of the U.S. battle the reigning world champions Jenny Perret and Martin Rios of Switzerland, followed by mixed doubles curling between China and Canada.

NBCSN’s coverage includes training sessions in alpine skiing (men’s downhill) and men’s luge at 9 p.m. ET. NBCSN presents a live mixed doubles curling match at 11:35 p.m. ET, as the U.S. brother-sister Hamilton duo faces Jang Hye-Ji and Lee Ki-Jeong of South Korea.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9

NBC presents the Opening Ceremony of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games from PyeongChang, South Korea, in primetime tomorrow, Feb. 9, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC. Award-winning journalist Katie Couric returns to NBC to co-host the Opening Ceremony alongside primetime host Mike Tirico at PyeongChang Olympic Stadium.

Tirico works his first Opening Ceremony, after serving as host for the Closing Ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympics. He served as an NBC daytime anchor throughout the Rio Olympics. Couric, who had a decorated 15-year run as co-anchor of TODAY (1991-2006), returns to co-host her fourth Opening Ceremony after hosting in Sydney, Salt Lake City, and Athens.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10

NBC’s primetime coverage live across all time zones continues on Saturday, Feb. 10, beginning at 8 p.m. ET, highlighted by the conclusion of the short programs in the figure skating team event as ice dance duo Alex and Maia Shibutani are expected to compete. The U.S. must finish in the top five to advance to the free skate portion of the competition. Coverage also includes men’s slopestyle snowboarding, gold medal finals in ski jumping’s men’s individual normal hill, and men’s luge.

Primetime Plus coverage features live coverage of the second portion the team figure skating event with the pairs’ free skate at 11:30 p.m. ET.

Daytime coverage of the Winter Olympics on NBC kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 3 p.m. ET, and features multiple short track races including qualifying in the women’s 500m, where 18-year-old Maame Biney, the first black woman to qualify for a U.S. Olympic short track team, is expected to lead the American team.

NBC’s daytime coverage also features men’s slopestyle snowboarding qualifying, the men’s ski jumping individual normal hill final, followed by the first two runs of the men’s luge competition.

NBCSN presents live coverage of women’s skiathlon gold medal final at 2 a.m. ET, where the U.S. has a chance to win its first-ever Olympic medal in women’s cross-country skiing, followed by a mixed doubles curling game between the Hamilton siblings and China’s Wang Rui and Ba Dexin.

Saturday’s live gold medal finals coverage on NBCSN continues with short track at 5 a.m. ET, followed by men’s ski jumping individual normal hill at 7:35 a.m. ET. Susan Dunklee, who looks to give Team USA its first-ever Olympic medal in biathlon, highlights NBCSN’s afternoon coverage in the women’s 7.5km sprint at 1 p.m. ET. Coverage also includes speed skating’s women’s 3000m.

Coverage on NBCSN continues at 7 p.m. ET, when Liam McHugh and 2006 Olympic ice dance silver medalist Tanith White host Olympic Ice alongside analyst and 1984 Olympic figure skating gold medalist Scott Hamilton. The hour-long studio show previews the day’s Olympic figure skating action while also providing viewers with analysis and highlights of the previous night’s competition. Following Olympic Ice, NBCSN’s coverage includes men’s slopestyle snowboarding gold medal finals.

Defending Olympic gold medalist Jamie Anderson leads a strong U.S. contingent that includes 20-year-old Julia Marino and 17-year-old Hailey Langland in NBCSN’s live coverage of women’s slopestyle at 9:45 p.m. ET.

USA Network hosts live coverage of women’s hockey as the Korean team (composed of players from both North and South Korea) meets Switzerland at 7 a.m. ET.

  • Biathlon – In biathlon, it’s the women’s 7.5km sprint event, where Vermont native Susan Dunklee could give Team USA its first-ever Olympic medal in the sport.
  • Figure Skating – Liam McHugh will host Olympic Ice Presented by Toyota, a new live, daily figure skating show. He will be joined by co-host Tanith White and analyst Scott Hamilton for in-depth coverage of all things Figure Skating, including a preview of day 2 of the team competition.
