Lipinski and Weir host The Best of U.S. – The 2018 Winter Olympics tonight at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. The one-hour preview show features stories on decorated Team USA athletes, a preview of the Olympic figure skating team event competition, and introduces viewers to award-winning chef David Chang as he offers an insider’s look at Korean culinary traditions. For the first time, NBCUniversal will stream live an Olympics Opening Ceremony. The live coverage from PyeongChang will begin Friday, Feb. 9 at 6 a.m. ET on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app, and will feature the pageantry and the Parade of Nations with world feed graphics and the event’s natural sound (without commentators). NBC’s fully-produced presentation of the Opening Ceremony, hosted by Mike Tirico and Katie Couric and featuring interviews and profiles will air Friday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC. Live streaming of all Olympic competition has occurred at every Games since London 2012.
