Mystery Boxes Deployed in New York, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Philadelphia From February 1-3, Featuring Fan-Centric Activations and Musical Performances by Andy Grammer, The B-52s and More!

JANUARY 31, 2018 – NEW YORK – The stage is set for two of the most iconic events in the world, Super Bowl LII and the XXIII Olympic Winter Games, which will both air on NBC this February. In celebration of this rare occurrence, NBC Sports has launched “Best Feb Ever,” an interactive fan experience taking place from February 1-3 in four cities: New York, Los Angeles, Minneapolis (Super Bowl LII host city), and Philadelphia.

In each city, NBC Sports is displaying large-scale mystery boxes with countdown clocks on their exteriors. Each day from February 1st-3rd, crowds will gather as the timer counts down to zero. When it expires, the box will open, unveiling a special guest who will either host a variety of fan activities or perform an impromptu concert. Not only will fans be able to meet celebrities and athletes, they will also be able to enjoy musical performances and participate in some of NBC’s favorite games to win championship-level prizes, including tickets, Super Bowl and Olympics merchandise, must-have electronics gift cards and much more.

The New York City activation at Rockefeller Center will feature a performance from fan-favorite Andy Grammer, and in Los Angeles, the iconic B-52s, known for their hit “Love Shack,” will perform live for fans at The Grove. Additional special guests will be announced in the coming days for each location.

The Best Feb Ever experiences will be located at the below venues:

  • New York: at Rockefeller Center Plaza (30 Rockefeller Center, New York, NY)
  • Los Angeles: at The Grove (198 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles, CA)
  • Minneapolis: Super Bowl Live/Best Feb Ever Bus outside the Minneapolis Convention Center (301 2nd Ave S., Minneapolis, MN 55403)
  • Philadelphia: at Comcast Center Plaza (1701 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Philadelphia, PA)

Consumers unable to attend a live box can still win big by visiting, where the countdown will be livestreamed each day, beginning Thursday, Feb. 1 through Thursday, Feb 8. Each time the box opens, it reveals a prize and the opportunity to enter to win.

Super Bowl LII will air on NBC on February 4 at 6:30 p.m. ET; NBC’s primetime coverage of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games begins on February 8.
