NOTES & QUOTES FROM FOOTBALL NIGHT IN HOUSTON ON NBC – NFL CHRISTMAS SPECIAL

STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 25, 2017 – Following are highlights from Football Night in Houston, which aired prior to tonight’s Week 16 NFL Christmas Special between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans from NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on NBC. Dan Patrick hosted Football Night from NBC Sports Group’s Studio 1 in Stamford, Conn. He was joined by Super Bowl-winning head coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Dungy and two-time Super Bowl winner Rodney Harrison.

Coverage included a feature on the charitable efforts by Texans DE J.J. Watt, which included raising more than $37 million for Hurricane Harvey relief.

Following are highlights:

ON STEELERS

Harrison on Steelers finding motivation after last week’s tough loss to the New England Patriots: “As a player in that locker room, you have to remember that feeling that you had at the end of the Patriots game, that sick, disgusted feeling. Remember that, use that as motivation not only for tonight, but moving into the playoffs.”

Dungy: “I said on our show last week, I thought it was a devastating loss for Pittsburgh. I got reminded by some Steelers fans that our (Indianapolis Colts) Super Bowl team in 2006, we lost a game 44-17 in December, and we made it to the Super Bowl. They’ll bounce back. They’ll play better football tonight.”

ON SAINTS

Patrick on Marshon Lattimore’s interception: “Have you ever seen an interception like this one? Marshon Lattimore. I think it landed on his Lattimore.”
