STAMFORD, Conn.Nov. 14, 2017 – NBC Olympics begins its coverage of the 2018 U.S. Olympic Trials this Thursday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. ET, on NBCSN. In all, NBC Olympics will provide more than 25 hours of Curling Trials coverage across NBCSN, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. This week’s coverage on NBCSN will feature more than 10 hours of the men’s and women’s finals coverage in primetime, as the top curlers in the country compete for the right to represent Team USA at the PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games in February.

In addition to streaming NBCSN’s coverage of the Curling Trials, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app are providing streaming-only coverage of a featured game from all round-robin sessions, plus live look-ins to other concurrent games through Wednesday, Nov. 15. Click here for a full schedule.

The Curling Trials will feature some of the most anticipated stories and athletes of the PyeongChang Olympics, including three-time Olympian John Shuster, who helped his team to an Olympic bronze medal in 2006, the first Olympic curling medal for the United States. The Nina Roth and Jamie Sinclair rinks are the top two contenders in the women’s competition. Roth finished fifth at the 2017 world curling championships, while Sinclair won the 2017 U.S. championships.

Shuster’s team is inching closer toward clinching a spot in the best-of-three finals following a fifth win Wednesday at the U.S. Olympic Curling Team Trials. Team McCormick, led by Heath McCormick, is 4-2 with remaining games against the Brady Clark (1-5) and Todd Birr (3-2) rinks. The Roth (3-1) and Sinclair (2-2) rinks will meet in tonight’s draw.

In addition to this week’s coverage, NBCSN will present coverage of the Mixed Doubles Curling Trials from Blaine, Minnesota, in December. Brother-sister duo Matt and Becca Hamilton earned a quota spot for the U.S. in the Olympic tournament at the 2017 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships, but will need to win Trials to represent the U.S. in PyeongChang. Matt Hamilton also competes on Team Shuster and will be competing this weekend in Omaha. Mixed Doubles will make its Olympic debut in February.

Jason Knapp (play-by-play), Pete Fenson (analyst) and Trenni Kusnierek (reporter) will provide coverage of the Curling Team Trials on-site from Baxter Arena in Omaha beginning Nov. 16.
