Pre-Race Coverage Begins Sunday at 10 a.m. ET on NBCSN with F1 Countdown

NBCSN to Provide Coverage of All Practice and Qualifying, Beginning Tomorrow at 7 a.m. ET

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs Round of 8 Elimination Race from Phoenix Begins this Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC

STAMFORD, Conn. – November 9, 2017 – NBC Sports Group surrounds the Brazilian Grand Prix – the penultimate race of the 2017 Formula One campaign – this weekend, highlighted by live race coverage from Autódromo José Carlos Pace on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN. Pre-race coverage begins at 10 a.m. ET on NBCSN with F1 Countdown.

Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) claimed his fourth career Drivers’ Championship with a ninth-place finish at the Mexican Grand Prix two weekends ago, tying Sebastian Vettel and Alain Prost for the third-most titles ever in Formula One history. Hamilton has earned nine first-place finishes in 18 races this season, including 12 podium finishes.

NBC, NBCSN, NBCSports.com, and the NBC Sports app will combine to present comprehensive live coverage of all practice, qualifying and race coverage this weekend, beginning tomorrow at 7 a.m. ET on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app with Practice 1.

In addition, NBC Sports Group continues its coverage of the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs this weekend with the Round of 8 elimination race from Phoenix International Speedway. Live race coverage begins Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC.


FORMULA ONE BRAZIL GRAND PRIX – SUNDAY AT 10:30 A.M. ET ON NBCSN

Hamilton enters the weekend having already clinched the 2017 Drivers’ Championship at the Mexican Grand Prix last Sunday. The Mercedes driver is now the most accomplished British driver in Formula One history, and trails only Argentina’s Juan Manuel Fangio (five) and Germany’s Michael Schumacher (seven) for most the Drivers’ Championships ever.

Vettel has won the Brazilian Grand Prix twice, most recently in 2013, while Hamilton won the event last year.

NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app will stream Practice 1 live on Friday at 7 a.m. ET, followed by Practice 2 at 11 a.m. ET on NBCSN. Practice 3 will stream live on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app on Saturday at 8 a.m. ET, followed by live qualifying at 11 a.m. ET. NBCSN will air an encore presentation of qualifying on Saturday night at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Pre-race coverage kicks off on Sunday with F1 Countdown at 10 a.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by live race coverage beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET. On-board, pit lane and highlight feeds will be live streamed on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. F1 Extra wraps up the day’s events on NBCSN at 1 p.m. ET. NBCSN will air an encore presentation of the Brazilian Grand Prix at 7:30 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports Group’s lead F1 commentary team of play-by-play voice Leigh Diffey, veteran analyst and former racecar driver David Hobbs, and analyst and former race mechanic for the Benetton F1 team Steve Matchett will call the action. F1 insider Will Buxton will serve as the on-site reporter from Autódromo José Carlos Pace.

SEASON 4 FINALE TONIGHT AT 9 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

/DRIVE continues its dynamic, car-enthusiast programming on NBCSN with a 60-minute season finale at 9 p.m. ET. The beauty of Iceland in summer is the backdrop for a race between Matt Farah, who takes the long way around, finding great roads in a McLaren 570GT, and Mike Spinelli and Chris Harris, who rough it across the country’s volcanic center in a Ford Raptor.


NBC SPORTS PRESENTS MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES PLAYOFFS ROUND OF 8 ELIMINATION RACE FROM PHOENIX – THIS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 12, AT 2:30 P.M. ON NBC

NBC Sports Group surrounds the penultimate races of the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup and XFINITY Series Playoffs, with more than 15 hours of trackside coverage from Phoenix International Raceway, in Avondale, Arizona. Race coverage from “The Grand Canyon State” begins Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC, with XFINITY Series racing, and is highlighted by Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
