NBC SPORTS GROUP’S MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES PLAYOFFS TELECASTS OVER LAST THREE WEEKS UP 9% VS. 2016

Total Audience Delivery of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Race from Martinsville Averages 2.79 Million Viewers, Up 4% vs. 2016

 

NASCAR Cup Series Races from Talladega, Kansas and Martinsville Featured Thrilling Finishes

 

STAMFORD, Conn. – October 31, 2017 – Following a succession of exhilarating races and down-to-the-wire finishes in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs over the past three weeks, NBC Sports Group’s coverage of NASCAR Cup Series racing from Talladega Superspeedway, Kansas Speedway and Martinsville Speedway averaged a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) of 3.52 million viewers, a 9% increase compared to the same three races in 2016.

 

NBC Sports Group’s presentation of this past Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race from Martinsville averaged a Total Audience Delivery of 2.79 million viewers across NBCSN and NBC Sports Digital properties, up 4% vs. the 2016 TAD for the same race. In addition, NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the Cup Series race from Talladega on Sunday, October 15 averaged a TAD of 4.74 million viewers, up 32% vs. 2016. NBCSN’s presentation of the Monster Energy Cup Series race from Kansas on Sunday, October 22 averaged a TAD of 2.77 million viewers, up 4% vs. NBCSN’s 2016 fall Cup Series race average.

NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs continues this Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN, with live coverage of the second race of the Round of 8, from Texas Motor Speedway, in Fort Worth, Texas.

 

In 2017, NBC Sports Group will present the final 20 NASCAR Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races, final 19 NASCAR XFINITY Series events, and select NASCAR Regional & Touring Series events.
