NBCSN PRESENTS MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES RACING FROM NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY THIS SUNDAY, JULY 16 AT 3 P.M. ET

NBCSN & NBC Sports App Present More Than 17 Hours of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup & XFINITY Series Trackside Coverage from New Hampshire

Aric Almirola Joins Live Edition of NASCAR America from NASCAR Hall Of Fame - Tonight at 5 P.M. ET on NBCSN

STAMFORD, Conn.July 12, 2017 – NBC Sports Group gears up for its third week of live 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and XFINITY Series racing, with more than 17 hours of trackside coverage from New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, N.H. NBCSN’s race coverage from “The Magic Mile” begins Saturday at 4 p.m. ET, with XFINITY Series racing, and culminates Sunday at 3 p.m. ET, with Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series racing.

After leading a race-high 152 laps at Kentucky Speedway last weekend, Martin Truex Jr. made his third trip to victory lane this season to climb within one point of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series leader Kyle Larson, for the overall lead in the regular season standings. Truex Jr.’s win also kept the dream alive for Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Jamie McMurray, Denny Hamlin, Clint Bowyer and Matt Kenseth, who all currently hold spots in the playoff standings without an official win. Including New Hampshire, only eight races remain before the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs begin.

In addition to live coverage on NBCSN, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs – will provide comprehensive streaming coverage of this weekend’s NASCAR action.


MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES RACING FROM NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY – SUNDAY AT 3 P.M. ET

NBC Sports Group kicks off its Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series coverage from New Hampshire this Friday at 11:30 a.m. ET, with first practice, available on NBCsports.com and the NBC Sports app. Beginning at 11:45 a.m. ET, coverage of practice will also be available on NBCSN. A special 30-minute edition of NASCAR America begins at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by NASCAR Cup Series qualifying at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Saturday’s coverage begins with Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series second practice at 10 a.m. ET on NBCsports.com and the NBC Sports app. NASCAR Cup Series coverage wraps up with final practice at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Race day coverage from New Hampshire Motor Speedway begins Sunday, with NASCAR America at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. NBC Sports Group’s pre-race show, Countdown to Green, kicks off at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN and includes a live on-set interview with Joey Logano. The driver of Team Penske’s No. 22 Ford joins NASCAR on NBC’s pre-race show to discuss his philanthropic efforts and a recent surprise visit to a fan’s home.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series racing begins at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN. NBCSN wraps up coverage at 6:30 p.m. ET, with a live on-site NASCAR Cup Series post-race show.

NBC Sports Group’s lead race announcer Rick Allen (@Rickallenracing) will call this weekend’s Monster Energy and XFINITY Series action, alongside Daytona 500 winning crew chief Steve Letarte (@steveletarte) and “The Mayor” of NASCAR Jeff Burton (@Jeffburton). Pre- and post-race coverage will be handled by host Krista Voda (@KristaVoda), auto racing icon Kyle Petty (@Kylepetty), and Hall of Fame driver Dale Jarrett (@DaleJarrett). Marty Snider (@HeyMartysnider), Kelli Stavast (@Kellistavast) and Dave Burns (@tvdaveburns) will report from pit road. In addition, features reporter Rutledge Wood (@rutledgewood) will bring viewers closer to the fans on-site at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.


XFINITY SERIES COVERAGE – SATURDAY AT 4 P.M. ET

NBC Sports Group’s XFINITY Series coverage from New Hampshire Motor Speedway begins this Friday, July 12, with first practice at 1 p.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by final practice at 3 p.m. ET. Coverage continues Saturday with XFINITY Series qualifying at 11 a.m. ET on CNBC. Pre-race Countdown to Green coverage starts at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Race coverage begins at 4 p.m. ET.

NASCAR on NBC’s Parker Kligerman (@Pkligerman) joins Marty Snider and Kelli Stavast as a pit-reporter for Saturday afternoon’s race. Rutledge Wood will also contribute coverage from “The Magic Mile.”


ARIC ALMIROLA JOINS NASCAR AMERICA LIVE FROM NASCAR HALL OF FAME - TONIGHT AT 5 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

Tonight at 5 p.m. ET, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Aric Almirola will join Rick Allen, Jeff Burton, Kyle Petty, and Dale Jarrett, live from the Hall of Honor, at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, in Charlotte, N.C.

Almirola will discuss his recovery from the accident that sidelined him at Kansas Speedway earlier this year, as well as his return to the No. 43 this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

As part of NBCSN’s comprehensive coverage of the 2017 NASCAR season, NASCAR America will present a live show each week from the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Each live episode will include an in-depth interview with an active driver, and highlight their journey to professional racing.


KURT BUSCH JOINS NASCAR AMERICA TOMORROW

Amid preparations for Sunday’s race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, 2017 Daytona 500 champion Kurt Busch will stop by NBC Sports Group’s headquarters in Stamford, Conn., tomorrow, July 13, for a live in-studio interview on NASCAR America. In addition, Busch will take over NASCAR on NBC’s social accounts, and participate in interviews with NBCSports.com, NBC Sports Radio as well as select NBC Sports Regional Networks and affiliates.

In 2017, NBC Sports Group will present the final 20 NASCAR Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races, final 19 NASCAR XFINITY Series events and select NASCAR Regional & Touring Series events.

In 2016, overall consumption of NASCAR content on NBC Sports’ Digital properties was up 50% vs. 2015, and NASCAR on NBC’s social platforms generated a triple-digit increase in video views, as well as double-digit increase in fan base and impressions compared to the 2015 season.
