Nick Faldo (1987, ’90 and ’92 Open Champion) and Johnny Miller (1976 Open Champion – Royal Birkdale) will preview NBC Sports Group’s coverage of The 146TH Open, July 17-23 from Royal Birkdale, United Kingdom. Golf Channel and NBC will air nearly 140 hours of television coverage in total – highlighted by 78 scheduled hours of live tournament and news programming on-site, the most-ever for a major championship. Golf Channel and NBC’s combined live tournament coverage will span from the first tee shot on Thursday to the final putt on Sunday, utilizing NBC Sports’ popular “Playing Through” split screen format for select commercial breaks during all four days of coverage.
