CSN CHICAGO PROMOTES JILL FIELDS TO GENERAL SALES MANAGER

Chicago, IL (July 6, 2017) – CSN Chicago (CSN), the home for the most games and the most comprehensive multi-platform coverage of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs and White Sox, has announced the promotion of 20-year sports advertising/marketing sales veteran Jill Fields to General Sales Manager, effective immediately.  Fields replaces Walter Cade, who was recently promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales, NBC Sports Regional Networks.  The official announcement was made by Bill Bridgen, President & Group Leader, NBC Sports Regional Networks.

In this new role, Fields oversees CSN Chicago’s entire national, local and digital sales efforts, which will include budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, along with the development of new business opportunities across all platforms.  Since joining CSN in March of 2012, Fields has consistently increased the network’s national sales billing to record levels, along with annually increasing overall national business for the network in a number of key sales categories.

“As National Sales Manager, Jill established herself as a valuable leader with a proven track-record of sales success,” said Bridgen.  “She is already very well-respected within the national and local media advertising community and her experience, leadership skills, and contagious energy will be major assets in our overall multi-platform sales efforts going forward.”

Prior to joining CSN Chicago, Fields held the position of Account Executive for Home Team Sports (HTS), a division of Fox Sports in New York (2002-2012).  There, she helped drive multi-million dollar advertising and marketing campaigns for a number of key national clients, including General Motors, Home Depot, AT&T, and Nike, among others.  She also helped foster and develop sales partnerships extending to more than 35 regional sports networks and professional sports teams and leagues, including MLB, NBA, NHL and numerous collegiate conferences.  Prior to joining their New York headquarters, Fields spent four years at the HTS division in Los Angeles (1998-2002), earning a pair of promotions during her tenure.

A native of Los Angeles, Fields earned her undergraduate degree in political science at the University of California at Los Angeles in 1996 and her MBA in finance at Seton Hall University in 2007.  Fields and her husband, Michael, along with their two children, reside in Chicago.
