Headlining Team USA in the women’s field are a trio who won gold in Rio: 2016 Olympic 4x100m gold medalists English Gardner and Morolake Akinosun; and two-time 4x400m Olympic gold medalist Natasha Hastings. Two-time U.S. Olympian Wallace Spearmon leads the men’s team, along with American Brycen Spratling, who is part of the team that set the world record in the distance medley relay, and 2011 world gold medalist in the 4x400m Mike Berry.
The Drake Relays includes a 2016 Olympic rematch in the women’s 100m hurdles, featuring 2016 Olympic silver medalist Nia Ali and 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Kristi Castlin.
