Augusta National Golf Club
Augusta, Ga.

**Golf Central Live From the Masters continues tonight at 7 p.m. ET on Golf Channel.**

On Tuesday at the Masters and the ideal weather conditions
Frank Nobilo – “Sadly, the players are going to have to cram today. If you didn’t have the luxury of being one of the top players and can come up here for a few practice rounds, you are cramming, knowing what the weather is going to be like on Wednesday.”
David Duval – The majority of the players who are successful here are prepared by the time they get here, and then manage their time well when they are here.”

On Thursday’s expected windy conditions at Augusta
Duval – “The ultimate thing through the first couple of days is going to be about patience.”
Duval – “It is going to be a ridiculously hard day, and experience is going to be thrown out the window because everybody is going to be fighting those winds. How many times has Phil Mickelson gone around this golf course in 30 mile-per-hour winds? Once? Twice? Very rarely do you encounter that here. It will be almost new to everybody.”

On Dustin Johnson
Duval – “The beauty of the last 15 months of golf, you throw in Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth. If any of those players play their best golf, they are hard to beat. As we sit here now, if they all play their best golf, I think Dustin Johnson wins by a few shots. That is a testament to his improved putting.”
Duval – “He has incredible clarity. We are looking at a player that has the most clarity right now.”
Tim Rosaforte – “It doesn’t matter whether it is coming back at 2 a.m. in the morning from Match Play or at the WGC in Mexico City, the last thing he’ll say to his strength coach, ‘I’ll see you in a few hours.’”
Notah Begay – “Arguably the only player without a question mark is Dustin Johnson. There really isn’t any noticeable weaknesses in his game up to this point in the year.”

Reacting to Butch Harmon’s comments to Golf Channel’s Todd Lewis that Johnson is as Intimidating as Woods
Duval – “No. He might get there, but Butch is way off by comparing him to Tiger Woods and Tiger’s intimidation factor. That is just wishful thinking. He has the potential to get some part of that to some degree but does not have the resume to back up the statement yet. He might add a major this week and might add a few more wins, but that’s silly.”
Tim Rosaforte – “Dustin is playing intimidating golf but I don’t think he has reached the level of Woods.”

On Phil Mickelson
Begay – “Phil Mickelson is dangerous here because he understands how to play this golf course and he is a risk taker.”

On Rory McIlroy
Duval – “If Dustin is the clear favorite, Rory is 1A in my book this week. Coming in, he is that much fresher than he has been in the past. He has been paying well and he has nothing to lose. Not a lot of people are talking about him because of what Dustin has been doing recently.”

On Hideki Matsuyama
Duval – “We all know the prowess Hideki Matsuyama has hitting the golf ball. I expect him to be around and contending come Sunday.”

On Jon Rahm
Duval – “He has everything you need around here, and he has the belief as much as anyone else.”
Duval – “This young man has come out and blown apart the myth of the learning curve. There hasn’t been any learning curve needed for him. His proficiency from top to bottom, as soon as he steps on the tee to when he putts out, he is good at everything. He can be that player that breaks through.”
