SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 16, 2017) – CSN Bay Area (@CSNAuthentic) announced today its coverage of the San Francisco Giants (@SFGiants) for the 2017 Major League Baseball season, which includes 145 regular season games; comprehensive game-day coverage with expanded one-hour Giants Pregame Live and Giants Postgame Live shows; and the introduction of in-market live streaming of the network’s Giants games and pre- and postgame shows on CSNBayArea.com and via the NBC Sports app.

CSN Bay Area will present the Giants season opener on Sunday, April 2 at 1 p.m. (Giants Pregame Live at 12 p.m.) against the Arizona Diamondbacks from Chase Field and the home opener against Arizona on Monday, April 10 at 1:30 p.m. (Giants Pregame Live at 12 p.m.).

Giants coverage on CSN Bay Area against playoff contenders include: six games against the 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs (May 22, 23, 24, 25; August 8, 9), 16 contests versus the 2016 N.L. West Champion Los Angeles Dodgers (April 24, 25, 27; May 1, 2, 3, 15, 16, 17; July 29, 30; September 11, 12, 13, 23, 24) and five games against the 2016 N.L. East Champion Washington Nationals (May 29, 30; August 11, 12, 13). Giants interleague action includes: four games against cross-bay rival Oakland A’s (July 31; August 1, 2, 3) and three matchups versus the 2016 A.L. Champion Cleveland Indians (July 17, 18, 19).

In addition to live game coverage, CSN Bay Area delivers comprehensive pre- and postgame analysis with newly expanded one-hour shows.  One hour prior to the game, fans can catch the latest team developments, interviews with players and coaches and in-depth game previews on Giants Pregame Live. Immediately following the game, Giants Postgame Live will give viewers an hour-long game breakdown with stats and highlights, clubhouse interviews and a preview of the next game.

During the 2017 MLB season, CSN Bay Area will begin live in-market streaming of Giants games – along with game-day shows Giants Pregame Live and Giants Postgame Live – on CSNBayArea.com and via the NBC Sports app.

The live-streaming service will be available at no additional cost to authenticated CSN Bay Area subscribers.  The service is provided as an added value and is available to all video distributors of CSN Bay Area.  The NBC Sports app is powered by Playmaker Media and available on the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Windows Store, Roku Channel Store, Apple TV and Amazon Fire.

CSN Bay Area’s Giants telecasts feature the Emmy Award-winning broadcast team of Duane Kuiper (play-by-play) and Mike Krukow (color analyst), who will be joined by Amy Gutierrez (in-game reporter, (@AmyGGiants) during home games.  Jon Miller, Dave Flemming (@FlemmingDave), Jeremy Affeldt (@JeremyAffeldt) and Javier Lopez will join CSN Bay Area for select Giants telecasts.

The KNBR 680 AM “Post-Game Wrap” simulcast returns for a tenth season on CSN Bay Area following home Giants games, featuring Jon Miller, Duane Kuiper, Mike Krukow and Dave Flemming.
