SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 12, 2017) – CSN California (@CSNAuthentic) announced today its coverage of the Oakland Athletics (@Athletics) for the 2017 Major League Baseball season, which includes 147 regular season games; comprehensive game-day coverage with expanded one-hour A’s Pregame Live and A’s Postgame Live shows; and the introduction of in-market live streaming of the network’s A’s games and pre- and postgame shows on CSNCalifornia.com and via the NBC Sports app.  In addition, veteran sports broadcaster and Northern California native Angela Sun has joined the A’s broadcast team as an in-game reporter.

CSN California’s regular season coverage begins with the A’s season and home opener against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Monday, April 3 at 7 p.m. (A’s Pregame Live at 6 p.m.) The second game of the season, on Tuesday, April 4 at 7 p.m., will be distributed exclusively through live streaming on the CSNCalifornia.com and the NBC Sports app.

A’s coverage on CSN California against playoff contenders include: six games against the 2016 A.L Champion Cleveland Indians (May 29, 30, 31; July 14, 15, 16), sixteen contests versus the 2016 A.L. West Champion Texas Rangers (April 7, 8, 9, 17, 18; May 12, 13, 14; August 25, 26, 27; September 22, 23, 24, 28, 29), seven matchups versus the 2016 A.L. National networks will air the remaining scheduled A’s games, meaning all 162 games will be available in the Bay Area.

In addition to live game coverage, CSN California delivers comprehensive pre- and postgame analysis with newly expanded one-hour shows.  One hour prior to the game, fans can catch the latest team developments, interviews with players and coaches and in-depth game previews on A’s Pregame Live. Immediately following the game, A’s Postgame Live will give viewers an hour-long game breakdown with stats and highlights, clubhouse interviews and a preview of the next game.

During the 2017 MLB season, CSN California will begin live in-market streaming of A’s games – along with game-day shows A’s Pregame Live and A’s Postgame Live – on CSNCalifornia.com and via the NBC Sports app.

The live-streaming service will be available at no additional cost to authenticated CSN California subscribers.  The service is provided as an added value and is available to all video distributors of CSN California.  The NBC Sports app is powered by Playmaker Media and available on the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Windows Store, Roku Channel Store, Apple TV and Amazon Fire.

CSN California’s A’s telecasts feature the Emmy Award-winning broadcast team of Glen Kuiper (play-by-play) and Ray Fosse (color analyst), who will be joined by new in-game reporter Angela Sun (@sunnyangela) during home games.  Former A’s All-Star Mark Mulder will be featured as a color analyst for 35 telecasts.
