CSN NEW ENGLAND ANNOUNCES NEW PROGRAMMING STRATEGY TO SUPER-SERVE NEW ENGLAND SPORTS FANS, BEGINNING APRIL 3RD

Burlington, MA, March 2, 2017 – CSN New England (CSN) announced today a newly expanded programming line-up to super-serve New England sports fans with the most comprehensive, in-depth and unfiltered New England sports coverage, when, where and how they want it. The new programming will begin on April 3rd.

As part of the new line-up, CSN will add a new nightly show Boston Sports Tonight presented by Town Fair Tire which will air every weeknight from 9PM to Midnight.  This 3-hour show will be hosted by CSN’s Tom Curran and Tom Giles, along with WEEI’s Michael Holley and Kayce Smith who are both set to join the network next month.  Boston Sports Tonight will be a cross-section of opinion, information and fun. The unique format of the show and the 9pm-Midnight timing will allow Boston Sports Tonight hosts and guests to provide immediate, real-time reactions to what is happening throughout the Boston sports world all night long, be it live games, breaking news or fan chatter.  The show will have a heavy social media interaction component that will engage with fans, athletes and other media influencers on a nightly basis. Curran, Giles, Holley and Smith will host from various locations around the CSN offices, getting takes from CSN staffers and guests.

Also beginning April 3rd, CSN will expand its Arbella Early Edition program to two hours, airing weeknights from 6pm-8pm.  The show will be hosted by new line-up of Gary Tanguay, Trenni Kusnierek and Michael Felger, who will join the show each night in-studio following Felger & MazzEarly Edition will combine hot takes and opinion, with heavy debate from hosts and guests and will offer an unfiltered look at the best Boston sports topics of the day. All of CSN’s on-air talent, including CSNNE.com’s Insiders, plus high-profile contributors from the Boston sports landscape, will appear on a nightly basis on both Arbella Early Edition and Boston Sports Tonight.

Chevrolet SportsNet Central will remain as CSN’s news brand and will live throughout the day across all CSN programming.

CSNNE.com and CSN’s social media channels will compliment the new television programming line-up with relevant videos, podcasts, blogs, interactivity and more. The network will continue to offer a 24/7 live stream of its TV line-up through CSNNE.com and the NBC Sports App.
