STAMFORD, Conn. – December 8, 2016 – Beginning this Sunday, Dec. 11, NBC Sports Group is rebranding its Sunday morning slate of matches as Premier League Sunday, with a new show open, graphics, ad spots, and social media integration. An effort to showcase some of the weekend’s premiere matches, the new promotional treatment will kick off a triple-header of action on NBCSN, beginning Sunday at 7 a.m. ET. Sunday’s coverage will feature top clubs including first-place Chelsea, third-place Liverpool, fifth-place Tottenham and sixth-place Manchester United.

The new show open celebrates the history and legacy of the Premier League clubs, with a graphic “look-in” at Premier League stadiums around England – the “great houses” of football. The re-brand will also include a new logo and theme music.

“The new Premier League Sunday franchise gives passionate English football fans a branded destination focusing on the top matches, the storied clubs and classic rivalries to call their own every Sunday morning, with supporting content across all platforms” said Bill Bergofin, SVP, Brand and Content Services, NBC Sports Group.

Premier League Sunday is supported by a promotional campaign that rolled out this weekend, featuring 30-second spots running across on NBC and NBCSN, and streaming on NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, and YouTube. Click here to view the spot.
