STAMFORD, Conn. – November 30, 2016 – NBC’s Sunday Night Football primetime television’s No. 1 show continues this week when Russell Wilson and the first-place Seattle Seahawks visit Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers in a rematch of last season’s NFC Divisional Playoff game. Coverage begins with Football Night in America this Sunday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. ET on NBC.

The Seahawks (7-3-1) return home looking to bounce back from a 14-5 loss at Tampa Bay. Wilson has 2,468 passing yards and 18 touchdown passes, while committing just two turnovers, in his past nine home games. Since 2011, Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham leads NFL TEs with 5,707 receiving yards, and CB Richard Sherman has a league-leading 30 interceptions.

The two teams last met in last season’s NFC Divisional Playoff game, where the Panthers defeated the Seahawks 31-24 on their way to Super Bowl 50. Newton, last season’s MVP, has 48 career rushing touchdowns, the most by any quarterback in NFL history. Panthers TE Greg Olsen leads NFL TEs with 790 receiving yards this season, and ranks second in receptions (58).

Calling Panthers-Seahawks are seven-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his record 31st season as the voice of the NFL’s premier primetime package; 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth; and two-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.

NBC’s coverage of Sunday Night Football is led by Emmy Award-winning producer Fred Gaudelli and Emmy Award-winning director Drew Esocoff.

Football Night in America, the most-watched weekly studio show in sports, is hosted by Mike Tirico, who will report on-site from CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Wash., and Dan Patrick, who will host from NBC Sports Group’s International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn. Patrick is joined by Hall of Fame head coach Tony Dungy, two-time Super Bowl champion Rodney Harrison, and Mike Florio of NBC Sports’ ProFootballTalkPaul Burmeister will report from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pa., on the Giants-Steelers game.

“THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL” CONTINUES TOMORROW ON NBC

The only network with two primetime NFL packages, NBC continues its coverage of Thursday Night Football tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 1, when Dak Prescott and the NFL-best 10-1 Dallas Cowboys host Sam Bradford and the Minnesota Vikings. Coverage starts at 7:30 p.m. ET with Football Night in Minnesota on NBC.

Calling Cowboys-Vikings are seven-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play) and 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth, joined by sideline reporter Heather Cox.

Mike Tirico will serve as the host of the Football Night in Minnesota pregame show from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn. He will be joined on-site by Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy, who played quarterback for the University of Minnesota and served as defensive coordinator for the Vikings (1992-1995), and two-time Super Bowl champion Rodney Harrison.

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL BUS RETURNS FOR 2016 NFL SEASON 

NBC Sports Group’s Sunday Night Football bus returns this season to travel the country, visiting the host cities of select Sunday Night Football and Thursday Night Football games. This season, fans will get a closer look at behind-the-scenes action of SNF broadcasts on the bus, which will take fans from the field, to the studio and in the production trucks. Features of the bus include an interactive replica of the control room, a replica of the Football Night in America desk, life-size “Photo Bomb” wall, and more.

The bus will arrive in each city two to three days prior to the game, making stops at local landmarks and events before heading to the game site. Once at the stadium, the Sunday Night Football bus will give fans the opportunity to interact with America’s most-watched primetime television show with exclusive activities, memorabilia and a 55-inch monitor housing social media elements.

2016 SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL AND THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS

NBC will present 24 regular-season primetime games, including 17 SNF games, the NFL’s opening game of the season NFL Kickoff 2016, the NBC’s annual Thanksgiving night game, and five new Thursday night games. Every 2015 playoff team makes an appearance on Sunday Night Football, and 19 of NBC’s 23 scheduled regular-season games (Week 17 game TBD) involve at least one playoff team from last season.
