NBC Sports’ Notable Quotes
BMW Championship –   Third Round
Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016
Crooked Stick Golf Club, Carmel, Ind.

**Sunday’s Final Round coverage of the BMW Championship is scheduled to begin at Noon ET on Golf Channel, and continue on NBC at 2 p.m. ET.**

Dustin Johnson (18-under, leader) speaking with Golf Channel’s Todd Lewis following his round
Dustin Johnson – “I’m seeing the lines really well [on the greens] and feel like I’ve got pretty good speed. The [new] putter is working. It’s just going where I’m looking which is the only thing I look for.”

On Johnson
Frank Nobilo – “You go back to the 13th hole and he missed the green and made bogey. Then something happened where he switched gears and made four birdies on his last five holes.”

On Paul Casey (15-under, 2nd)
Nobilo – “It was always going to be a challenge for him tomorrow, but [we’ll find out] what did he learn from last week?”

On J.B. Holmes (14-under, 3rd)
Nobilo – “He’s trying to signal to [Ryder Cup] captain Davis Love III that he’s finding the right form at the right time.”
Mark Rolfing – “I think he’s made a pretty big statement to a lot of people today the way he has played.”

On Roberto Castro (12-under, 4th)
Nobilo – “He can take solace in the fact that no one [outside of Johnson] is running away with it. He knows that pars won’t win come tomorrow night, but he hasn’t lost that much ground.”
Gary Koch – “He is very much an accuracy type player. And he’s making the putts that he hasn’t made the rest of the year.”

Adam Scott (11-under, T-5th) speaking with Lewis following his round
Adam Scott – “I felt a lot more solid on the greens. I didn’t make them all, but they were just much better putts. The first two days, I was really struggling from hole-to-hole feeling the confidence with the putter. But today was really good. I fixed my posture up and hopefully I’ll take that to tomorrow and make everything.”

On Bubba Watson (6-under, T-17th)
Nobilo – “I would think he needs to get to East Lake to persuade his captain and teammates that he’s worthy of a [Ryder Cup] pick… I think from a popularity point of view there’s no question Rickie Fowler would have the edge over Bubba Watson. I think Bubba Watson would admit to that. But Hazeltine is also a long golf course.”
