On Friday’s round two of the men’s golf competition
Johnny Miller – “Nobody really knows what pressure these guys are going to feel when they know they know have a shot at the top-3 positions. It could be that it melts them or it could be that they play great golf…It is a totally different mindset.”
Nick Faldo – “It is important for golf all over the world to be supporting golf in the Olympics these two weeks. Very cool.”

On Thursday’s opening round and golf’s return to the Olympic games
Ireland Team Captain Paul McGinley – “The crowds were much bigger than I thought. What the players had to say and the sense of humility the players had on being in one sport in a big, big picture of other sports and to be part of the Olympics.
