STAMFORD, Conn. – July 28, 2016 - World Series of Fighting returns to NBCSN this Saturday, July 29, live at 10:30 p.m. ET, with Marlon Moraes (16-4-1) defending his bantamweight title against “Gentleman” Josh Hill (14-1) from the Xfinity Arena in Everett, Wash.

Undefeated in the World Series of Fighting decagon, Moraes owns nine wins under the World Series of Fighting banner. He debuted at the promotion’s first show with a split-decision win over former WEC champion Miguel Torres. Moraes claimed the bantamweight belt with a decision win over Josh Rettinghouse (WSOF9). His first official title defense came in a decision win over Hill in WSOF18, and he went on to successfully defend his title against Sheymon Moraes (WSOF22) and Joseph Barajas (WSOF 28). Moraes now seeks the fourth-consecutive defense of his title, a mark that would match lightweight champ Justin Gaethje for his current promotional record.

Hill was undefeated for the first 10 bouts of his career, including a June 2014 knockout victory over Mike Adams at WSOF Canada 2. After being defeated by Moraes in WSOF18, Hill has bounced back with four consecutive victories, including a split-decision win over Bekbulat Magomedov at WSOF28, as well as three wins on the regional stage.

In the co-main event, Alexandre “Capitao” Almeida (18-5) defends his featherweight title against Lance “The Party” Palmer (10-2). Almeida and Palmer last met in December 2015, where Almeida claimed the featherweight title from Palmer at WSOF26.

Saturday’s card also features a bout between brothers Ben “Phoenix Jones” Fodor (6-1-1) and Caros Fodor (10-5), fighting at a catchweight of 162 pounds, and a middleweight division bout between Phil Hawes (4-0) and Louis Taylor (12-3).

Play-by-play announcer Kenny Rice will be joined by mixed martial artists and analysts Bas Rutten and Joey Varner to call the action.

World Series of Fighting will be streamed live on NBCSports.com, and the NBC Sports app via “TV Everywhere,” giving consumers additional value for their subscription service, and making high quality content available to MVPD customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms. Powered by Playmaker Media, the NBC Sports app is available on the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Windows Store, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire.
