ORLANDO, Fla. (June 8, 2016) – David Feherty’s familiar unorthodox style returns to Monday nights on Golf Channel with a slate of new guests as his award-winning, self-titled series FehertySM resumes on Monday, June 20 at 9 p.m. ET, when he welcomes World No. 3 golfer Rory McIlroy.

The Emmy-nominated television host will be joined by a slate of compelling guests this summer, which include McIlroy (Monday, June 20); retired golf broadcaster Peter Oosterhuis (Monday, June 27); 10-time LPGA Tour winner and 2010 U.S. Women’s Open champion Paula Creamer (Monday, July 4); and a special episode featuring golf’s new “Big Three,” the current top-three-ranked players in the world: Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and McIlroy (Monday, July 11). The four-episode stretch coincides with the four weeks leading up to NBC Sports’ coverage of The Open, July 14-17.

Season six of Feherty got off to a hot start with the two-part season premiere featuring then World No. 1 Spieth. The premiere of Part I drew 325,000 avg. viewers per minute on a Live+Same Day basis, and the Part II premiere saw 351,000 avg. viewers, becoming the second and third most-watched Feherty premieres in the history of the series (2011-’16, trailing only the series premiere with guest Lee Trevino coming off U.S. Open week in 2011 – 368,000 avg. viewers).

Rory McIlroy – Monday, June 20 at 9 p.m. ET

Shot the day after his victory in the 2016 Irish Open, Feherty visits with fellow Northern Ireland native, Rory McIlroy. The four-time major winner discusses his rise to the top of the sport, the thrill of winning under pressure, and what it would mean to earn a place on the medal stand at the Rio Olympics later this year.

Peter Oosterhuis – Monday, June 27 at 9 p.m. ET

Friends and former colleagues for years working together on broadcasts for CBS Sports, Peter Oosterhuis will join Feherty in an emotional episode premiering on Monday, June 27. Oosterhuis in January 2015 announced his retirement from broadcasting after 20 years, revealing shortly thereafter that he had been diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. Feherty throughout the interview is able to draw parallels in learning to deal with Alzheimer’s in his family given the battle his father is currently facing. Airing in association with June’s Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness month, the Englishman talks about the support he’s received from his family and the golf community, and – along with his wife Roothie – discuss the day-to-day challenges of living with the disease. During the episode Feherty also visits the Nantz National Alzheimer’s Center in Houston to find out more about the disease which afflicts so many around the world.

Paula Creamer – Monday, July 4 at 9 p.m. ET

One of the most widely-recognized faces in women’s golf, 10-time LPGA Tour winner Paula Creamer meets with Feherty during one of her practice sessions to reflect on the career she’s paved to-date, and her future aspirations both on and off the golf course. The 2010 U.S. Women’s Open champion chats about the dominance among South Korean players in women’s golf, her passion for the Solheim Cup – in which she’s competed six times – and the rejuvenation of her game following a coaching change.

Day, Spieth & McIlroy: Golf’s New “Big Three” – Monday, July 11 at 9 p.m. ET

Current top-3 ranked golfers in the world, Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy together represent the next generation of young stars in the game of golf as the new “Big Three,” a title originally associated with golf legends Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player. In a special episode of Feherty, some of the best moments from Feherty’s interviews with each will be featured, focusing on their rise to the top of the sport and their collective impact as the “face” of the new generation on the PGA TOUR.

Other Upcoming Guests this Season

Other guests scheduled to join Feherty in 2016 include 26-time Emmy Award-winning NBC Sports personality and Olympic host Bob Costas; Pro Football Hall-of-Famers Terry Bradshaw, Cris Carter and Emmitt Smith; legendary baseball play-by-play voice Bob Uecker; Doug Collins, former first-overall pick and journeyman head coach in the NBA; and 2014 European-winning Ryder Cup team captain Paul McGinley.

Described as “the last unscripted man on TV,” by Men’s Journal and as “golf’s wisecracking, maverick interviewer” by Esquire, Feherty has made a name for himself not only through his self-titled Golf Channel talk show, but as one of the most irrepressible personalities calling golf over the past two decades. A native of Northern Ireland and a former professional golfer who claimed 10 worldwide victories and a spot on the 1991 European Ryder Cup Team, Feherty is now a proud American citizen who has risen above a history of alcoholism and addiction to become an Emmy-nominated television host, New York Times best-selling author and comedic relief for thousands of men and women in uniform.
