STAMFORD, Conn. – May 3, 2016 – NBCSN and USA Network will combine to present three Stanley Cup Playoff matchups tonight, beginning at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, when the New York Islanders host the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 3 of their Second Round series.
NBCSN’s coverage continues at 9:30 p.m. ET with Game 3 between the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues, with their series tied at one game apiece. USA Network’s coverage begins at 9 p.m. ET, as the Nashville Predators host the San Jose Sharks in Game 3, with Nashville looking to chip away at a 2-0 series deficit.
Kenny Albert (play-by-play) and Brian Boucher (‘Inside-the-Glass’) will have the call of Lightning-Islanders from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. John Forslund (play-by-play) and Emmy Award-winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire will call Stars-Blues from Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo., and Chris Cuthbert (play-by-play) and Joe Micheletti (‘Inside-the-Glass’) will handle commentary for Sharks-Predators from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.
Tonight’s pre-game coverage begins with NHL Live at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN, hosted by Liam McHugh alongside analysts and former players Mike Milbury and Keith Jones. Dave Briggs will anchor studio coverage on USA Network with analysts and former players Jeremy Roenick and Anson Carter.

GAME 3 – (2) LIGHTNING AT (WC1) ISLANDERS – 7 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – SERIES TIED 1-1
Tampa Bay evened their series with New York with a 4-1 victory in Game 2 on Saturday afternoon in Amalie Arena, as Ben Bishop stopped 19 of 20 shots he faced and Tyler Johnson scored twice for the Lightning. The series shifts to Brooklyn tonight, where the Isles defeated the Lightning 5-2 in their only meeting this season at Barclays Center on April 4, when five different skaters scored for New York, and Bishop was pulled after allowing five goals on 23 shots. Game 2 was only the second time in eight postseason games that Isles captain John Tavares was held without a point.
GAME 3 – (3) SHARKS AT (WC1) PREDATORS – 9 P.M. ET ON USA NETWORK – SHARKS LEAD 2-0
San Jose took a 2-0 series lead against the Predators on Sunday night, as Joe Pavelski broke a 1-1 tie late in the third period and the Sharks went on to win 3-2. Sharks goaltender Martin Jones made 37 saves in the win. Filip Forsberg led Nashville in scoring this season, but has been held without a point in seven straight games. The Predators have never come back from a 2-0 series deficit, and teams that take a 2-0 series lead in a best-of-7 Stanley Cup Playoffs series are 303-48 all-time.
GAME 3 – (1) STARS AT (2) BLUES – 9:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – SERIES TIED 1-1
David Backes scored midway through overtime on the power play to give St. Louis a 4-3 win in Game 2 on Sunday afternoon to even the series at one game apiece. Brian Elliott made 31 saves, and has made 30-plus saves in eight of nine games played this postseason. The series now shifts to Scottrade Center, where the Blues went 3-0 against the Stars in the regular season. Including the regular season, the last four meetings between the Stars and Blues have been decided by one goal, and three of those meetings have required overtime.
Note: If tonight’s Lightning-Islanders game runs beyond 9:42 p.m. ET, the start of Stars-Blues can be seen on NHL Network, except in the Dallas and St. Louis markets, where the start of Stars-Blues will be seen on NBCSN. For the rest of the country, NBCSN will join Stars-Blues following the conclusion of Lightning-Islanders.
