STAMFORD, Conn. – February 18, 2016 - World Series of Fighting returns to NBCSN this Saturday, Feb. 20, live at 9 p.m. ET, with Marlon Moraes (15-4-1) defending his bantamweight title against Joseph Barajas (12-1) from Next Level Sports Complex in Orange County, Calif.

Moraes owns eight wins under the World Series of Fighting banner, debuting at the promotion’s first show with a split-decision win over former WEC champion Miguel Torres. Moraes eventually went on to claim the belt with a decision win over Josh Rettinghouse (WSOF9), and seeks the third victorious defense of his title. Barajas made his World Series of Fighting debut at November’s WSOF25 event, scoring a third-round TKO of Erik Villalobos.

In Saturday’s co-main event, Timur “Lucky” Valiev (10-1) takes on Chris “El Guapo” Gutierrez (8-1-1) in a bantamweight contest, with the winner expected to earn a shot at the World Series of Fighting bantamweight title. Valiev quickly established himself as one of WSOF’s top bantamweight talents after picking up four wins in the promotion, most recently, a decision win over Tito Jones at September’s WSOF23. Gutierrez makes his World Series of Fighting debut on Saturday, coming off a six-fight winning streak, including a recent 25-minute decision win over veteran Bendy Casmir that went the distance (25 minutes).

Saturday’s card also features a bout between Andrew “The” Ramm (4-3) and Ozzie Alvarez (6-3) in the welterweight division.

Play-by-play announcer Kenny Rice will be joined by mixed martial artists and analysts Bas Rutten and Joey Varner to call the action.
