STAMFORD, CONN. – November 24, 2015 – This week’s all-new edition of NFL Turning Point, airing Thursday at 1 a.m. ET / Wednesday at 10 p.m. PT on NBCSN, breaks down Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton’s career-high five-touchdown passes in the team’s win against the Redskins.

In addition, NFL Turing Point reviews Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers clutch play in the team’s NFC North showdown against the Vikings; examines Sunday’s matchup between the Bengals and Cardinals, including QB Carson Palmer’s big game against his former team; and highlights Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo’s return to action following a broken collarbone sustained in Week 2.

Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, the 30-minute NFL Turning Point, co-produced by NFL Films, airs weekly throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.

This week’s episode features:

  • Panthers-Redskins: NFL Films studies Cam Newton’s career-high five touchdown passes, and how he orchestrated an offensive performance which stretched the Panthers’ regular-season win streak to 14 games. The segment also features in-game audio from Newton, who was mic’d up during Carolina’s victory over Washington.
  • Packers-Vikings: NFL Turning Point takes an in-depth look into Green Bay’s final drive of the fourth quarter, in which Aaron Rodgers threw two deep passes to WR James Jones to convert on two third-and-longs.
  • BengalsCardinals: The program reviews QB Carson Palmer’s four touchdown passes, and analyzes how it lifted the Cardinals over Palmer’s former team. The segment also shines a spotlight on the Cardinal’s pivotal final drive in the closing moments of the fourth quarter to set up the game-winning field goal.
  • Cowboys-Dolphins: NFL Films examines Tony Romo’s return to the Cowboys lineup after suffering an injury in Week 2, and highlights how Romo overcame two early interceptions to lead the Cowboys to their first victory in eight games.

 

Wednesday night’s Sounds of The Game segment – Powered by BOSE –features in-game audio from Seattle QB Russell Wilson, who was wired-for-sound during Sunday’s win over the 49ers.

Each week NFL Turning Point is built around select NFL matchups from the previous weekend, and focuses on the crucial “turning point” moments that ultimately defined the outcome of each game. The show also features anatomy-of-a-play type segments and long-form game-of-the-week style narratives that include pre-game and post-game access, sideline sounds, jaw-dropping cinematography and incredible storytelling that is synonymous with NFL Films.

In 2015 NBCSN will air a total of 21 episodes. The season finale, scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 4, 2016, will look back at the “turning point” of Super Bowl 50.
