STAMFORD, Conn. – Nov. 11, 2015 – NBCSN presents NASCAR America Championship Roundtable, a special edition of NASCAR America, this Thursday, November 12th at 7 p.m. ET. The original one-hour program includes NASCAR on NBC analysts Jeff Burton, Kyle Petty, Ray Evernham and Steve Letarte. Moderated by NBC Sports’ Marty Snider, the former drivers and crew chiefs weigh in on the storylines, highlights and controversies of the NASCAR season in advance of Sunday’s penultimate race from Phoenix and the 2015 Championship event in Miami on November 22.
Hosted at Charlotte’s Tremont Music Hall, the show takes a closer look at Jeff Gordon’s storybook final season. A three-time Champion crew chief with Gordon, Evernham shares his memories of working with the man dubbed NASCAR’s “Wonder Boy.” Letarte also discusses his experience working with the No. 24 team as a mechanic, tire specialist and eventually crew chief.
The free flowing conversation also circulates around the 2015 Sprint Cup Playoffs. The four share their Playoff predictions, and how their expectations have changed shape over the course of the eight weeks.
In addition, the one-hour program covers crucial race decisions both drivers and crew chiefs make during a race and breaks down the nuances of “driver code” and the unwritten rules of NASCAR.
